^yea!
its not set up for diplomatic missions, its a formidable ship, the galaxy looks nicer, its all round, people like it more for its rounded ness, the sovereign is an all out fighter, the pointed warp nacells, the enlongated saucer, the pointy end of the main engineering hull, the rounded ventral section make it take damage better, its a offensive/defensive ship, and one of the best!

That might be the updated version from nemesis which is around 12 meters shorter.

Well, I prefer the Sovereign. The Enterprise-E is just so beautiful!
And the Sovereign is much more powerful than the Galaxy.

Yes it does. Galaxy class was created around the early 2360's and the sovereign was created in the early 2370's So yes it is definately more advanced.

I prefer the Sovereign only because it's much 'cooler' looking.
I think this is something like comparing a sports car (Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini) to a luxury car (MBenz, BMW, Lexus, and I suppose those ugly Rolls Royces and Bentleys).
Sports cars = Sovereign class. Maneuverable, fast, sleek looking.
Luxury Cars = Galaxy class. Much more comfortable, and has the juice when you need it, just not quite as much.
That's my lame little analogy. Hehe.
With that said, I prefer the exotic sports cars over luxury cars anyday, but I do realize that on a long drive a Mercedes has to be more comfortable than a Porsche. I'd say the same with a Sovereign vs. Galaxy
And then I suppose there's the whole weapons issue, and quantum torpedoes pretty much answers THAT question.

Yes. Take a peek at the concept sketches. They did screw up with the nemesis drawings, and marked down the wrong feet in length, but the width would have stayed the same. The figures were converted to meters, and this is what I got.
Sovereign-Class
Length: 685m
Width: 243m
Height: 87m
Sovereign-Class, Refit
Length: 673m
Width: 243m
Height: 94m
You'll also note the vessel is 7m taller, which is strictly because the nacelles arms were shifted up 7m as well as 12m forward.

Thats not voyagers class. Voyagers class is Intrepid.
Picard has been in command of both a galaxy (Enterprise-D) and Sovereign (Enterprise-E)
Janeway is in command of an intrepid class (Voyager)

Yeah that sounds about right. That might help explain the extra decks too.

I like the soveriegn class better than galaxy class.
Why cant they make a battleship class like in the earlier era of ship designing? For instance the uss missouri was a battleship class and it was awesome.

M I S S O U R I C L A S S
B A T T L E S H I P ( F B B )
The Missouri class Battleship is one of the best classes of ships in the Federation. It has a very strong set of shields backed up by a strong hull and large amount of weaponry. An interesting fact about its hull design is that it appears to be a hybrid of an Oberth class ship and with a Miranda class saucer section (both sections enlarged of course). This design has allowed the Missouri to carry an unusually large amount of torpedo tubes (five) and still have enough space to mount an assault phaser on the lower pod's spine and have enough spare power for one QCB. The power drain of all of these weapons means that the Missouri class ships have a large set of fusion reactors, separate from the impulse reactor system, which constantly supply power to the main grid during battle. This means that, whenever the a Missouri class ship enters battle, it will definitely have enough power to charge all of its weapons. But unfortunately, it has an almost pathetic top speed (compared to other Federation ships) and a low maneuverability. It has three warp nacelles mounted, directly it seems, on the hull of the ship. This is a great testament to the ships strength because warp nacelles are put on pylons for a reason: so that when they warp space they dont accidentally tear the ship that they are on apart.
SPECS:
Length: 793 meters
Mass: 2,150,000 metric tonnes
Crew: 1,100
Marines: 90
Maximum Impuse: 1,140 kellicams per second
Hull Rating: 9.4
Shield Rating: 198.3
Maneuverability Rating: .24/.06 1,300
WEAPONS:
Fore: 6 phasers, 6 photons, Quantum Carrier Beam
Aft: 5 phasers, 4 photons
Port/Starboard: 4 phasers each
