My two cents:

I accept that people have their own beliefs and religions. I understand why one person may be a devout Roman Catholic, and why one person may believe in Voodoo.

I do not understand why a couple of the same sex would be so threatened by a gay couple who would just like the law to recocnize their love and devotion to eachother, just like the law recognizes the couple of the same sex.

Why are people so disgusted with Gay marriage when the 'sanctity' of marriage has already been stained? Just look at public figures like Britney Spears. She's been married twice this year! You hear of people getting married and divorced, then remarried all the time! I know of Gay couples who've been together 20 years!

And for the record, by definition, denying someone a privilage or right based on Politics, race, ethics, sexual orientation, nationality or any other differences, is considered descrimination.

And RM: please don't tell people that their opinion is wrong. They are entitled to whatever opinions they want.

Let's stick with the egg analogy for a moment shall we? What can I say? It was a creative and witty way of making you opinion known. I like that. Let's take the same eggs. Let's say one is a common, everyday chicken egg. It makes a great omlete as well as a great scrambled egg. The other is an ostrich egg. It's very diferant to the ordinary chicken egg, yes. However, does that mean it should not be considered an egg?

You go to the fiction section of your library, you read your bible, and you go ahead and be biased and hateful.

And just because someone has different beleifs than you doesn't mean you can attack those beleifs.

I attacked nothing. I simply stated my wonderful opinion. Deal with it.

Your opinion is far from wonderful. I won't deal it if you keep saying that the Bible is ficition. I'll be biased and hateful to morons who deserve it by attacking my religion. Its bad to "hate" gays but ok to make fun of my Religion? Ones discrimination but the other is not? *cough* hypocrite *cough*

Why don't you prove that the Bible is fiction.

The Bible isn't fiction though. It's marked as non-fiction. It's like the Constitution: it is a document that provides a framework for an ideology. In the Bible's case, the ideology is laid down through several anecdotes. These anecdotes may or may not be fictional, but the fact is that you can't prove it either way until we have more archaeological evidence than we do now.

The burden of proof is on you. Everything that is not non-fiction, is fiction, until proven otherwise.

Through archeology a lot of the bible has proven to be true.

If you want the proof, go find it yourself and stop being lazy. Why don't you defend your obvious beleif that there is no existing God. Prove it to us why don't you.

If I have no proof of something existing, then it doesnt exist. End of story.

Again, the burden of proof is on you. If you want to change my mind, then you must prove your point, and youve done a VERY poor job of that so far.

Elsewhere, -according to the state... if these 11 states want to pass a ban thats up to them.

Because of ACTIVIST judges. Heck, the issue wouldn't be on the ballot if it wasn't for them, and the people in 11 more states have spoken.

A bunch of people stating the bible is true? Not compelling evidence.

As for a few excavations, its pure coincidence, and you know it. Just because they find a city with some code as their language, doesnt mean jack. When people wrote the bible, they could have simply written that in for proof later on. Your evidence is not convincing.

I remain to keep an open mind. If I see compelling evidence, I will believe it. But I have seen nothing to that effect as of yet.

So when people dig up proof then it's not enough? Sure, I can understand why you might find some things in the bible that can't be proven, but that's the same with scientific theories. They are mostly proved, but they aren't a certainty, yet many people these days accept them. I hope you don't if they can't be solidly proven to make it fair...

No, its not enough. You didnt change my mind at all. I discredit your "facts."

And as for how many people believe its true, I couldnt care less. The only person that effects me, is me.

If so then I discredit all scientific facts... Even if they compliment each other a lot of the time.
