Yeah, but did you know that she played a Conservative Councilwoman running for reelection in a couple Cheers episodes? She and Cheers were a couple for a while. |
Actually I did know that! I saw that episode, and I didn't care what she was playing because it was the first time I had seen her play someone other than Janeway. YAy for Kate Mulgrew!!!

Tonight I'm gonna be watching it, so shoot me now. *Yells at himself* However, I am going to watch FarenHYPE 9/11 afterwards, to counter the lies and propaganda, and distortions and taking out of context, and spinning. Watch that after you watch Moore's movie.

Yes. It falls under the realm of propaganda, just as its Farenhype counterpart does. Propaganda is one of the most-used tools in elections. I haven't seen it yet, I'll hold my opinions on the content of the film until I can actually make an informed first-hand opinion.
Edit: Is is just me, or Firefox, or is anyone else having huge formatting issues in this topic?

1. I am having those EXACT SAME ISSUES, and I've got Internet Explorer.
2. Yes, they all fall under propaganda, however what I mean by propaganda is the untruth--the lie, the spin, the slander.

I'm having trouble with the formatting as well. There's a huge gap on the left, and then the post is squished into the right?

WHAT! Do ANYTHING in his power to win, "JUST LIKE 4 YEARS AGO"!!! That is CRAP. That is NOT true. And there is NO factual backing of the race card played back then. NONE OF IT.

With the electoral system it divides the eletion into states in America. It all came down to florida's points, which Bush officially won by just over 500 votes.
Yes, people demanded recounts. They did 3 different recounts, and every time they found more votes for Bush. Not to mention the fact that 1,000 people illegally voted in both New York and Florida, 80% of whom voted for Al Gore.

STOP BEATING ME TO THE PUNCH!
I was going to state just that!
EDIT:
EXACTLY, though. EACH recount done went for Bush. And don't give me this "oh, it was because his brother was the governor" crap.

^Quite. And the governor has nothing to do with the counting, or recounting, of votes. He didn't "steal" the election. (Though, people would argue against the electoral college...did anyone hate it when Clinton won? 'Course not.)

The benefit of the electoral system is that it devides votes regionally, as well as by numbers. Regionally people generally have similar opinions, and if one region is heavily populated, I don't think it's right for them to control the fates of lesser populated regions without a fight.

What evidence do you have that he "cheated?"

Why can't you just accept my opinion? If you must know, I've read Michael Moore's 'Stupid White Men' and 'Dude, where's my country'.
Maybe you don't consider that as evidence, but I do.

You mean besides the fact that when "ex-felons" were purged from the list they also removed people with the same name, birthdate and gender? Or the fact that many of the felons purged already had their right to vote returned, or were suposed to as per the law?

The popular vote is not the measurement. LightningBoy was correct. Using the popular vote would give high-populous areas WAY too much power. The whole middle of the country could theoretically be IGNORED, which is NOT fair to the people living in small states, such as South Dakota. It's not perfect. There's yet to be a perfect measurement.
Also...anyone remember the 1,000 people from Ney York who illegally voted in Florida, over 800 of which were Democrat? Mm-HM. I'm not saying either side is squeaky-clean. However, I hardly think it's as bad as people would like you to believe. The controversy of the 2000 election was insued because Florida was fair game to argue on (Legally, anyhow)--they didn't have a recount protocol. I shudder to think what's going to happen this time.

Your opinion needs facts, and there is NO WAY that Moore's stuff is evidence!

It is ILLEGAL for ex-felons and felons to vote up until a certain amount of time.
