Self-explanatory. Discussion is ok, bashing is not. (Of each other, naturally, the candidates? Open season.)

Kerry/Edwards: The most Liberal ticket ever.
Kerry is a flip-flopper, Edwards is a trial lawyer-turned Senator--one that managed to win lawsuits against McDonalds for someone spilling coffe in their car.
Kerry does NOT have a core, he has no specific values except for anti-defense and pro-tax increases, which his record CLEARLY shows, but he's flip-flopped so many times.

I want to know hooooooooow the democrats chose Kerry for President instead of Edwards. I personally think that Edwards could have really brought over alot of the votes that they need.

Yeah, being #4 in the Most Liberal Senators List is a big improvement.
No, you're right. Edwards would have been the better choice--but Lieberman. Boy, I like him. And yet the Dems shut him out. Shows how far left they've become.

1. Went to veitnam.
2. Camback and joined antiwar rallies, say the veitnam war was bad for this country,
3. Now he harps on his service in the military back in vietnam.
MAKE UP YOUR MIND KERRY!

I haven't seen him against his military service. But in his response to Bush's speech he said that Bush mislead us to war, etc.

Kerry is an idiot. And Bush is an idiot as well. Kerry is just less of an idiot than Bush, but they're still pretty dumb, both of them.

Kerry is an idiot, yes.
Bush isn't.
And NEITHER of them are dumb. They BOTH graduated from Yale.

From what Kerry's been saying, he's pretty much a socialist.

John Kerry is a flip-flop, but I still would pick him over Bush in a second.
PM, you should be proud that you got me to say that JK is a flip flop
Just be glad I can vote this year...

I think not. If he was, I'd agree with him, wouldn't I? The health care thing was good, but he's still a dirty Capitalist |

Perhaps, but he's NOT much of a Capitalist. He wants the GOVERNMENT to make the jobs--the government to do MANY more things. That's socialism, my friend.

Bush is like Hitler.
Both used war as a political scapegoat and used the "big lie", i.e WMD.
Both were driven by fanatical ideologies, one is right wing pseudochristian, and the other was teutonic and occult.
Both had slumping economies, used propoganda as a weapon(George Bush stopped the FCC's rulings on monopolies concerning mass media companies) and dissolved worker unions(bush does it by allowing jobs to be exported overseas, thus not allowing workers to form unions and do collective bargaining).

No, he is NOT! That is HORRIBLE that you would be one of the people to say such a thing!!!

Bush did NOT lie about WMDs! That is something that has been PROVEN false. Who told Bush about WMDs?
-CIA
-CIA Director
-Tony Blair
-MI-6
-Russian Intelligence
-Putin
-Chirac
-King of Jordan (country RIGHT NEXT TO IRAQ)
-UN
So you, President Kylon, are presented with all this information. Do you not act on it? Huh! Bush was presented with this info which, as of now, shows that, so far it was mistaken, but that does NOT make him a liar!
Both were driven by fanatical ideologies, one is right wing pseudochristian, and the other was teutonic and occult.
My God! I agree with Hitler being that, but Bush is NOT very Conservative, but he IS very Christain and that is NOT a bad thing.
Are you FORGETTING 9/11!!!? Huh? It had a GREAT impact! And I learned about, in my Business class this week, BUSINESS CYCLES. Ever heard of 'em? Those are the cycles of business that can last from one to THIRTEEN YEARS, ESPECIALLY with something like 9/11!
Bush has NOT used propaganda as a weapon! And how is that thing that I've never heard about related to propaganda? And Bush has NOT dissolved worker unions.
2. We are in a CAPITALISTIC SYSTEM! This is where the government doesn't control the companies, just regulates them somewhat. In a capitalist system, companies are able to run themselves, and if they weren't allowed to be overseas, then that wouldn't be good in that case.
You case for comparing the two people is HORRIBLE and void of good points.

Kylon, I am not going to allow comparisons like that. Not only are they way off the mark, they are ignorant as hell. I don't want to see it again.

I am not fond of Bush, but drawing a comparison between Hitler and Bush does cross the line. A disparaging recurring theme I have found from many people on this board is that Bush can do no wrong. Seriously folks it is the solemn duty of a nation's citizens to criticize our leaders. Has Kerry blown it in some areas? Yeah. Has Bush blown it as well? Yeah. Simply because one supports one candidate over another is no call to completely ignore your favoured's failings. And by the way people should learn the difference between communism and socialism. I ask you, what is so offensive about socialism?

The UK is a socialism coutry at the moment, so it Tony Blair. Labour
Quote: | The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few. Where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe. And where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect. |
