Yes, it could be Oil, but that is highly doubted. I feel the main reason behind this war is to free people and you probably will never know the real reason...I agree on that.

Prove me wrong, instead of coming back with these "How do you know...?" arguments. We do know how badly Saddam was treating the people of Iraq, so explain to me how they could fail to hate him for that.

Both points of the argument have got facts for and against. Its up to the individual to deside what they believe. Saddam was hated, but so far no weapons have been found. With that before you its up to you to decide what reason the coalition went in - for money or human rights.

^Actually, no, Someone else made mine. The words just aren't in it yet.
Quote: | New Report Discloses Dozens of Weapons of Mass Destruction Program Activities in Iraq
According to the Wall Street Journal a new report shows that Saddam Hussein had "dozens of WMD-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations during the inspections that began in late 2002." The Wall Street Journal makes note of the findings to rebut other media reports that say the latest inspections by U.S. inspector, David Kay have unearthed no new information in his short, three month search.
The revelations about Hussein's weapons of terror include a prison laboratory complex "possibly used in human testing of BW agents" in addition to strains of biological organisms that could be used as weapons, reports the Journal. The assignment has also served to spotlight Saddam's success in deceiving the United Nations and the world as to the state of his weapons programs.
The Wall Street Journal concludes by saying, "Even if no stockpiles are ever found, the Kay report provides ample proof of Saddam's WMD threat and how much safer the world is with him out of power."

^Clearly, I've never understood why people say things such as "They haven't found any proof" I mean, if he was still in power, he'd be making them (WMD) currently or soon. We are better off without him in power, and so are the Iraqi people.

Yes, I agree, but the reasons might not be the ones that the coalition went in. The problem is that it could cause a rush for nuclear weapons as North Vietnam is thought to have nukes, and western countries won't attack in case they use them.
((Sorry about the double post before - it wasn't working I though, and I quickly desided to change a bit, so the time was long enough away.))

We don't attack North Vietnam Because We know they have nukes and they have a leader crazy enough to use them. And since South Vietnam was our ally once, we try to talk North Vietnam into disarming the nukes because on more then one occasion North Vietnam has threatened to nuke South Vietnam.
But knowing Bush and other countries in the Firing range of the Nukes. The first sign of disarmament and we're going in to make sure They're never going to threaten people with them again.

It would be a perfect world if no nukes were needed. Unfortuntly that won't happen. The "goodies" then need nukes to protect themselves from the bad people who have them.

Do any of you think Donald Rumsfield should resign from the Defense Dept. after not telling Bush about the prisoner abuse? I don't think so...

I do believe he's talking about how FDR dropped the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That's pretty silly. The use of those bombs saved thousands of lives.
