It all started on November 6th, 2000 in Washington DC which was the capitol of our beauitful country we were voting in a new president. Our Choices George W. Bush or Al Gore. Bush was a republician and Gore was a Democrat. We had knowledge of Bush from his father who was also a former president his big mark in history was that he sent out troops into to Kuwait to stop Sadam Husain from taking the oil that Kuwait was producing in other words it was just another madman wanting to take over and bully his neighbors well our troops were succesfull in driving off Sadam from Kuwait fast forword 10 years now its 2000 and we are voting in our president it went for weeks because of Florida messing up. When it was all said and done Bush came though well things went back to normal. Little did I know that this was the begining of the end. The change wasn't quick but it was there say good bye to United states of america and hello to Bushes United Empire. To be continued. Author: Jeff Miller |

Okay, well, yes, good point. What I meant was that unless a dictatorship or whatnot is COMPLETELY formed, countries, like the US, are NOT Empires.

The difference between America and these other empires is that usually, these other empires were invading others. America does not invade, we liberate.

Exactly. We've been a Superpower since the early 1900s, if not sooner, and yet have we invaded other countries for evil and attacked a country using our might for NO GOOD REASON? No. We haven't.

We really dont liberate, We just fix our mistakes and protect our own hides. I mean It's not like we helped put Saddam in power or anything.

Okay, that was the PAST--We DID NOT KNOW THAT SADDAM WOULD DO THIS WHEN WE SUPPORTED HIM. Now we have LIBERATED Iraq (and a place called Afganhistan, remember that?) and we have hte RIGHT to "protect our own hides." However, this war wasn't just to protect US, but to protect EVERYONE.
And that picture, in my OPINION, is SO idiotic. We WENT TO WAR TO PROTECT US AND THE WORLD AND YET WE LIBERATED A COUNTRY ALONG THE WAY!!!!

Oh yes, lets protect everyone. We started off with Afganistan to capture someone who Hurt us badly, now we moved on to liberate a place that had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks.
And it's funny to say we liberated Iraq, because it seems that we're now controling it, instead of letting the people pick their leaders. Isn't that what liberating is all about? Giving them self autonomy.
It seems to me that the world doesn't want our help. No country, save Britain, seems to want to help us in this "Mighty quest to rid the world of Terrorism"

but we have yet to give them full control of their government.
The people can choose their officials to run the country. We need to just sit on the sidelines and watch.

I know of the date, Hel* every american knows about that date.
Unfortunetly, I'm a realist. Do I think we'll pull out on that exact date, No. Will we give most of the power back to the Iraqi people, Most of it, but not all.
And dont talk like you know me, It's insulting.

Okay, we are in a time of TERRRORISM. Regardless of whether or not Saddam is linked to the attacks, he DID support terrorists, giving them money, weapons, etc.
And it's funny to say we liberated Iraq, because it seems that we're now controling it, instead of letting the people pick their leaders. Isn't that what liberating is all about? Giving them self autonomy.
Liberating, in my opinion, is freeing people from oppressive dictators, etc and giving them FREEDOM. And we ARE planning to hand Iraq over to them, as you well know. But we FREED THEM FROM THE OPPRESSIVENESS OF AN IDIOT DICTATOR!!
It seems to me that the world doesn't want our help. No country, save Britain, seems to want to help us in this "Mighty quest to rid the world of Terrorism"
Look beyond your nose...Other countries, such as Australia, Pakistan, now SAUDI ARABIA, and SEVERAL OTHER COUNTRIES have joined our anti-terror coalition. They've seen the truth, now...

Hmmm... didn't we do that for them some years ago? I guess we were helping terrorists then. And dont say we weren't. we were supplying rebels with weapons to overthrow the government.

Yes, but we are still running the country by our standards. They will truely be liberated when they are running the country by themselves

Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and excusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. ~Mark Twain
