Is it right to sanction the execution of other people for their crimes? I don't propose to know, it is a moral grey area. I believe that most people in the Middle East, Palestinians and Israeli's included, want peace, but so long as each side continues killing each other through terrorist acts, there will be no peace. (There may be those of you who would state that Israeli tactics are non - terrorist, but I would argue that they just have bigger, and better weapons with uniforms).

Does anyone else find it suspicious that the Palestinians were rejected by the other Arab countries they tried to go to (this is a while in the past) yet when they get to Israel (whom most Arabs hate, although this is a general comment, not all of them) the Arabs throw their support behind them? If they had let some of the Palestinians into their countries, then yes, it would be ok if they supported them "against" Israel, but as they hadn't then it's abit obvious it's an attempt to make Israel look bad.
Agreeing with other people, Yassar Arafat is totally against peace. A number of times in the past, when there hasn't been much media attention, he has said he would fight Israel down to the last Palestinian. He would willingly wipe out his people to destroy the Israels. Now though, with the "West's" attention on the situation, he is "all for peace". A bit strange, don't you think? The only reason Israel hasn't killed him is because they don't want to make a matyr of him.

Emm No I don't really find it convenient, the Palestinians were thrown out of Israel (which was Originally Palestine) if the Scottish were thrown out of Scotland I'd expect exactly the same attitude

Just because it was once Paletine doesn't mean they have a right to control it. Then let's go to Russia--there are MANY countries that were once part of that nation, but are they Russian?

Most of them weren't originally Russian but now have a Russian background.Russia had a empire lasting around 500 hundred years. Much of Eastern Europe like Yugoslavia, Poland, Romania etc. are of the same bloodline because of it. Though that has nothing to do with whats going on in Palestine.

Pffft, you can't really judge the entire country by a select few on TV, As I remember it, they were mostly children, and it's not as if they showed celebrations happening all over the country, they showed a single town, village, whatever it was.

If my memory remembers correctly, MANY different places were seen--now I'm not saying that it's MOST of the Palestinians, just MANY of them...

Well, we need to find some proof! (Who, what, when, where)
