I had to sit though the chamber of secerts today and i have to say i really hate this movie and all the movies and books they are so boring and the stroy lines are lame.

I agree. When the books were books and just books, it was fine. It was a nice story that introduced many children who would not read into the magical world of reading (Ok, so they probably won't read any good books in their lives, but now at least they can say they read a book). The first book was enjoyable, the second was ok, the third was brilliant and the fourth was a good story. The fifth was an abombanation and destroyed all my faith in the series. It was boring, mundane, confusing and bits of it were rather pointless. Why kill off such a good character, in such a confusing way? The whole chapter where they're supposed to be doing all this fighting and there's something about a prophesy etc. was utterly confusing. I will most probably not look forward to reading the next one.
I saw the first film and none of the others. They went so far from the plot of the first one, screwed up the characters, sets and everything else (why did Hagrid live in a stone hut in the movie? Couldn't the studio afford logs?) including the plot, which changed very much from the book plot. I have seen none of the other films, and quite frankly, I don't want too. When HP and the Goblet of Fire comes out as a movie it will be awful. They will have had to cut so much of the storyline out so that the movie is short enough for kids that it will basically be a synopsis of the book.

What's the point anymore? I've lost all faith in JK Rowling. She wrote best when she was a single parent struggling for survival instead of an overrated millionnairess. I feel sorry for the generation below me who will have grown up on these stories, instead of proper good children's books like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Edge Chronicles and anything by Robin Jarvis or Anthony Horowitz.

The movies and books suck. But that game they play in it with the boomsticks and the balls things that looks fun. would love to do that.

Never appealed to me, but I know that it brings pleasure to a lot of children. And I've seen quite a few adults reading it on the train as well.
