Quote: | Ancient Skull Has Both Neanderthal, Modern Characteristics
A strange ancient skull recently uncovered adds to mounting evidence that humans and Neanderthals interbred and suggests that humans evolved considerably after settling the European continent some 40,000 years ago.

Such an article on foxnews.com?
While it remains to be quite interesting, I already know how things came to be, regardless of what skull they found buried somewhere.

I read in New Scientist that we acted genocidely (if that's a word) towards the neanderthals and helped exterminate them as an inferior race.

Why is it amazing that it's on Fox? I don't see it.
It is interesting when there's even more evidence of evolution like this, and hard-core evidence at that.

Evidence like this has been around for years. The problem is, there are archaeologists and other scientists around who still have beliefs that neanderthal man isn't a part of the Homo genus. They equate them to large lemurs, define them as slack jawed, hairy ape men or label them completely inferior in every way.
