I saw it. The movie was fantastic, but Daniel Craig is not Bond. I hope they get rid of him.

I would have agreed with you before I saw the movie. I was expecting to not like him. But if you can get past the blonde hair and blue eyes, I thought he did a great job acting the part. just my opinion

It's hard to get past that. Bond isn't just about being tough, but about his suave look. This guy does not carry that. The story and all that was good, but that's because of the book, not because of Craig.

Uh being a girl, I thought he was pretty damn suave and smooth actually. Not as smooth as some of the other Bond's, but it's about how he becomes more of that suave persona for this story. But yeah I thought he was very good at acting it.

Problem is, this is Bond's first assignment as a 00 agent. He's not the refined smooth talker we all know him as. He is a blunt instrument. Even in the book he was a blunt instrument.

At least he had the Beretta, Bond's first gun, with the silencer.

Craig plays the book Bond the best than any other Bond. However, yes, the blonde hair and blue eyes is a problem.

His hair and eye color made absolutely no difference to me, to be honest.

He is one of the best Bond's so far. Much better than Brosnan ever was.

Wow...the fact some people believe that is scary...

Well it bothers me because Bond doesn't look like that.

Why? Because he's got blond hair?

No....

Because Pierce had the look and the attitude. In my opinion, Craig did not have the first part and barely had the second.

Brosnan played Bond like an Aristocrat. Craig plays him like he should be, suave, but maintaining his past military self.

I've seen this twice. As Link said, this is about his promotion to a double 0, so he'd obviously not have the same attitude of the later Bonds, as he'd have less experience. I liked the way they made him less-refined and and more blunt, it was true to the character. You could easily see it (lack of experience) in the chase-scene towards the beginning where he's going after the guy with the bomb and ends up at the embassy. The terrorist can easily maneuver and jump over things, whereas Bond has to go around them, or through them.

The only two things that bothered me were some of the American-isms that Bond had, and the cars. I mean, he's supposed to be British, first-off, so the previous part kind of killed that. And as for the latter, you seem him driving a Ford in the beginning? How sick. And they used the same black Bentley and Jaguar over and over again. Ugh. Other than that, it was pretty good.

Thats what most people don't seem to get. He wasn't playing a normal Bond. I'm sure he can play him well later on.

It was a rental. He wasn't on an assignment.

lol. I was into everything else. I don't pay attention to the types of cars in any movie, Bond or non-Bond, lol. But now that it's brought up, I do remember it. I just didn't realize it beforehand. I do agree it was stupid, though.

The entire audience was laughing when we saw it. It was a funny little joke.

Well the car he wins was an Aston Martin DB5, Bond's original car and the one he ended up with later was an Aston Martin DBS, Which is a successor of the Aston Martin DB5.

Yes thank god for that. The two Astons saved the whole car issue, although it would have been neater for them to re-pimp the DB5 like they did with the DBS. Although... he did total the DBS, and that would have would been rather blasphemous to do to the DB5. I don't know how I feel about it all, honestly,
