The Australian gov is going to put a cap at around $1.50 I heard. The rumours going around about it jumping to $2 a litre before the end of the year are false thankfully.

I'm paying $2.60-ish. When I buy gass, I get the lowest octane grade. If you do research, you'll learn that buying the high octane gas is a waste of money, unless you race in a high performance car.

If I could afford it I would buy it because i have a turbocharged ford but the 95+ octane fuel is ridiculously overpriced. Therefore I am forced to fill with the standard unleaded.

Minneapolis MN it's about $2.90 or some ungodly amount like that. Do you see what the gas companies are doing? They raise the prics to some ungodly amount, then after a few weeks they drop them, for about one week, which causes people to say "Oh $2.78 for gas? this is great!!!" and they go out and buy gas like mad, then the companies raise the price even more and they have been continuing this cycle almost methodically where I live ever since 9/11. They also use natural disasters as an excuse to raise the prices even more. they are literally stealing money out of our pockets, but the gas stations can't do anything about that because they have to make money too, they merely buy the gas from their suplier who tells them how much they must put the price at.
