Wow that Picard one is good. What's that done with? Did you draw an outline 1st?
I remember drawing that pose of Picard and Janeway. Definitely the best ones to draw. I love the hair on Janeway. It looks as though light is really reflecting off of it.
The harp girl/elf looks really pretty. I LOVE the dress folds! lovely!
Oh what do we have here? Oh when ever I draw something like that I just loose my patients. You have to teach me!
I thought that skull was real for a second then! Chalk has got to be one of the best mediums. The shading comes out so well.
I can't decide if she looks evil or kind.... hummm. I like the ear kind of a toned down Ocompan. Lovely eyes too.
Have you got any more? *poke* *poke*

Picard is done with acrylic and a palate knife, I did do an outline first or I'd never of gotten the shape right...
Yeah, I like that pic of Janeway as well, but I think my drawing is a little too flat. I like the hair and the shape, but there isn't much detail in her face.
The harp I just copied out of a book. I didn't trace, the paper was much too thick, but it's not an original.
The dressy thing...fun Cross hatching, yay!
Chalk, I love chalk, fun blending!
Old woman, I was trying to get more of a grandmother-y look out of her
More pics...hmm...Only if you show me some of your stuff *pokes*

Oh all of my stuff is at school. I've got the results from my art, I got an A
I have to go in october some time and get it.
I'll scan it in then.
The most resent thing I did was this:
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/CallMeZippy/art/AirshowSunday19June2005073.jpg
Yep, I did it in the sand, hehe.
I've made a couple now. My fisrt one was a really big star trek badge. I've got a photo of it. My friend, Nomad helped making it too! She was really tried afterwards!
I've totally gone out of drawing, I just don't have the will to do it because I don't have all the stuff and the freedom to do what you want in a class room.
I've been making more dollz than anything else because there is no mess to clean up afterwards and you can leave it ages before you finish one and it will still turn out the same.
I've started making some proper animie poster things but I want to make an art website where I can put whatever I want on it.
I've thought about Deviant Art but I just don't like the website. It's too hard to navigate... I don't like the layout either.
Do you know any sites that I could post my art work at?

Awesome! I wanna see the comm badge...
Yeah, cleaning up the mess is a bit of a pain. Although with pencil and paper there isn't much, which is nice.
Websites...If you want to wait for a while my entire CS class this year is going to be me devoting my time to the web. I'm going to be creating my own server and everything, I'm also going to be making a website and I'd be more than willing to give you some space on there

Oh wow! That cloak! Amazing!
And the windsweptness!
I could never do something like that I just don't have the confidence to do sweeping lines that are bold and actually look alright. Mine just look wonkey and is crying out "why did you put me here?"
Whats the whole ball in the stick meant to mean?
Umm what I really need is somewhere I can just log in and upload files type a little bit about them and not have to worry about putting them on pages and organizing them.... *laziness*

Just practice with the lines. No one has to see the screw-ups. Actually...I should post some of my crappy-er pictures LOL...We could have a "who's done the worst drawing" contest

Not bad!
The one problem seems to be the corner by her legs. The skirt should be hugging her legs in front (I'm assuming she's facing the breeze) It's curved right by her knee, which is making it look funny.
Other than that you've got the basic idea down

1st one: There isn't a back to the skirt...All you can see is the front.
2nd one: awesome! The corner that is farther down though. Either it should be swept back or perpendicular to the ground, not parallel to the leg, it makes that edge look a little bit akward.
The face on the Vulcan is amazing! As is the hair on the first one

thanks
Humm maybe I should have drawn the legs 1st
I draw the wrong way around
I drew the folds 1st then the head and arm then i stuck the legs on.
What order do you normally draw 1st?
I think I need easier ways of drawing!
Is this more like it?

I love that Janeway sketch!!!!!!! But yeah I see what you mean about the detail in her face....I think I'm gonna get into sketching full time..the only stuff I can do by hand and not with a mouse and paint program on a pc is sketching, and my artwork always turns out best if I'm not focusing too hard on what I'm drawing.
One of meh fave pieces by meh is this sketch of a masquerade mask...I love drawing masks...dunno why...I just do...
But anyway, nice job! I look forward to seeing more of your work, TrekkieMage!

^ Thanks! I actually did a mask for art, a full face one. I should put it up here
Z-i-p-p-y:
I usually draw the body first. That way the cloth folds around them. Kind of like putting clothes. Hmmm...perhaps the cape shouldn't be so straight. It kind of needs to fold over itself.

Thanks guys
For the mask: I bought a pre-made white plastic mask. I then painted the dark blue to white fade. I printed out some images of a galaxy on a nice printer. Then I tore up the images and pasted them on in a creative manner
I'll draw the folds in a little bit...too tired right now o.O
Yes! Show us some of your stuff!

How did you do the stringy bits?
Did you design it on paper 1st or did you just do it?

Ribbon? Elmer's glue.
And yes, I did sketch it out, however it changed a bit as I worked on it. I found some things didn't work like I thought, and got some ideas as I was working on it (like the lower lip).
And yes, you should do one!
