Buddha, Buddha was born in B.C. 560 and died at the age of eighty in B.C. 480. The place of his birth was a grove known as Lumbini, near the city of Kapilavastu, at the foot of Mount Palpa in the Himalayan ranges within Nepal. His real name was Siddhartha Gautama. He became "the Buddha" after embarking on a quest for spiritual meaning. He is universally recognised by Buddhists as the Supreme Buddha (literally Enlightened One or Awakened One) of our age. He is also commonly known as Shakyamuni or Sakyamuni. Gautama is the key figure in Buddhism, and accounts of his life, discourses, and monastic rules were summarized after his death and memorized by the sangha. Passed down by oral tradition, the Tripitaka was written about four hundred years later.
He stated that he had realized complete Awakening and insight into the nature and cause of human suffering, along with steps necessary to eliminate it. His understanding manifested the Four Noble Truths, and the state of supreme liberation�possible for any being�was called Nirvana.
For the remaining forty-five years of his life (or fifty by some accounts), the Buddha traveled in the Gangetic Plain of central India, teaching his doctrine and discipline to an extremely diverse range of people�from nobles to street outcaste sweepers, including many adherents of rival philosophies and religions. The Buddha founded the community of Buddhist monks and that of nuns (the Sangha) to continue the dispensation after his Parinirvana or complete Nirvana, and made thousands of converts. His religion was open to all races and classes and had no caste structure.

Baha'u'llah, Baha'is believe that all the founders of the world's great religions have been manifestations of God and agents of a progressive divine plan for the education of the human race. Despite their apparent differences, the world's great religions, according to the Baha'is, teach an identical truth. Baha'is believe that Baha'ullah (d. 1892) was a manifestation of God, who in His essence is unknowable. Baha'ullah's special function was to overcome the disunity of religions and establish a universal faith. Baha'is believe in the oneness of humanity and devote themselves to the abolition of racial, class, and religious prejudices. The great bulk of Baha'i teachings is concerned with social ethics; the faith has no priesthood and does not observe ritual forms in its worship.

Dalai Lama's, In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lamas are a sequence of leaders, since 1391, from the Gelug (dge lugs) school. Between the 17th century and 1959, each Dalai Lama was the most powerful political leader in Tibet, controlling a large portion of the country from their capital at Lhasa. The current 14th Dalai Lama is also a respected Tibetan Buddhist religious leader, and figure head of the International Tibet Independence Movement; in English, his followers and many others use "His Holiness" (or HH) as a prefix in his title. The Dalai Lamas, however, never had authority over every region of Tibet nor over the other sects of Tibetan Buddhism.

Jesus Christ , yes, well. Jesus Christ was born Decmber 25th 1 ACN in Bethlehem, Israel to Mary, a virgin, via the Holy Spirit. Nazareth in Galilee is represented as his childhood home. Only one incident between his infancy and his adult life is mentioned in the canonical Gospels (although New Testament apocrypha go into these details, some quite extensively). At the age of twelve, Jesus was left behind by his parents after a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. On being missed, he was found 'instructing the scholars in the temple'.
Just after he was baptized by John the Baptist he began his public teaching; he is generally considered to have been about thirty years old at that time. Jesus used a variety of methods in his teaching, such as paradox, metaphor and parable. His teaching frequently centered on the Kingdom of God, or Kingdom of Heaven. Some of his most famous teachings are in the Sermon on the Mount, which also contains the Beatitudes. His parables (or stories with a hidden meaning) include the parable of the Good Samaritan, and the Prodigal Son. Jesus had a number of disciples. His closest followers were twelve apostles, headed by Peter. According to the New Testament, Jesus also performed various miracles in the course of his ministry, including healings, exorcisms, and raising Lazarus from the dead. Jesus came with his followers to Jerusalem during the Passover festival, and created a disturbance at the Temple by overturning the tables of the moneychangers there. He was subsequently arrested on the orders of the Sanhedrin and the High Priest, Joseph Caiaphas. He was identified to the guards by one of his apostles, Judas Iscariot, who is portrayed as having betrayed Jesus by a kiss

Mother Teresa, Blessed Mother teresa of calcutta was born on august 27th 1910 and died september 5th 1997, she was an albanian Catholic Nun who worked among the poor and found the "missionaries of charity". Teresa was awarded the Templeton Prize in 1973, the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna in 1980. She was made an Honorary Citizen of the United States in 1996 (one of only six). She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in October 2003, hence she may be properly called Blessed Teresa by Catholics. She was the first and only person to be featured on an Indian postage stamp while still alive. Once Mother Teresa was asked how she could continue day after day after day, visiting the terminally ill: feeding them, wiping their brows, giving them comfort as they lay dying. And she said, "It's not hard because in each one, I see the face of Christ in one of His more distressing disguises."

Mohandas Gandhi, was the national leader who brought the fight for India's independence from British colonial rule to the highest moral standards, empowered by tens of millions of common Indians and ultimate success. His philosophy of nonviolence, for which he coined the term satyagraha, has influenced both national and international nonviolent resistance movements to this day, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the United States. Mohandas Gandhi was, and still is a deeply popular icon and inspiration to many Indians since 1920, when he took charge of the freedom struggle with his Non Cooperation Movement. Considering the number of Indians at that point was over 320 million and today stands over 1 billion, all the vagaries of ethnic, religious and language differences plus the lack of communication technology and interest in politics, it is a truly remarkable that he has been immortalised in a similar way to Lord Rama and Jesus in less than a century. For many in India this messiah status runs deep. From the start of the Champaran struggle in 1918, he was lovingly reverred as Mahatma, or "Great Soul" by millions of people. Although he was much averse to honory addresses, Gandhi is still today commonly referred to as Mahatma Gandhi, and not Mohandas Gandhi, all over the world. Apart from being considered one of the greatest Hindu and Indian leaders of all time, he is reverred as the "Father of the Nation" in India.

Martin luther King jr., "I had a dream". was born on january 15th 1929. He was a Nobel Laureate, Baptist minister, and African American civil rights activist. He is one of the most significant leaders in U.S. history and in the modern history of non-violence, and is considered a hero, peacemaker and martyr by many people around the world. A decade and a half after his 1968 assassination, Martin Luther King Day, a U.S. holiday, was established in his honor. King organized and led marches for blacks' right to vote, desegregation, fair hiring, and other basic civil rights. Most of these rights were successfully enacted into United States law with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Abraham Lincoln, was born February 12th 1809. sometimes called Abe Lincoln and nicknamed Honest Abe, the Rail Splitter, and the Great Emancipator, was the 16th President of the United States (1861�1865), and the first president from the Republican Party. Lincoln staunchly opposed the expansion of slavery into federal territories, and his victory in the 1860 presidential election further polarized the nation. Before his inauguration in March of 1861, seven Southern slave states seceded1 from the United States, formed the Confederate States of America, and took control of U.S. forts and other properties within their boundaries. These events soon led to the American Civil War. Lincoln was a master politician who emerged as a wartime leader skilled at balancing competing considerations and at getting rival groups to work together toward a common goal. He personally directed the war effort, which ultimately led the Union forces to victory over the seceding Confederacy. His leadership qualities were evident in his diplomatic handling of the border slave states at the beginning of the fighting, in his defeat of a congressional attempt to reorganize his cabinet in 1862, in his many speeches and writings which helped mobilize and inspire the North, and in his defusing of the peace issue in the 1864 presidential campaign. I liked the original Buddha's philosophy, but he was a spoilt selfish prince at the beginning of his life (before he gave up everything).

It's hard, I admire Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King and Gandhi all at the same time, because they were all so peaceful, and non-violent. In the end I'd have to go for Ghandi, just because of his expression on his face, and how he was able to influence so many people's lives.

They are all catohlics. And even if they are not catholics, we all believe he existed, and did some nice things for people. like opposing the Jewish religion and dying for our sins...

I would have voted for Jesus, but it depends on the question. If you are meaning only good then He can't have been.

Using a view of C. S. Lewis, Jesus cannot have only been. He claimed He was God. That either means He was telling the truth, lying - so He was bad, or thought He was telling the truth, but wasn't - so mad. So He can't have been only a good man. I believe He is goodness in it's true form though.
