I don't know much about DS9, because I haven't seen very many episodes. I don't even know the actors' names. But from what I've seen, my vote goes for either the guy who plays Dr. Bashir or the guy who plays Odo.

Tough question!

Two of the best character actors in the show IMO are the actors who portray Jadzia (Terry Farrell) and Weyoon (Jeffrey Coombs)

(I can't really remember the names, it's late, and my brain has decided to cave...*sighs*)
Terry Farrell, Worf's portrayer, Kira, and Odo...gotta love the Ferengis too...in all, DS9 seemed to have REALLY good actors and actresses.

There were some very talented people on DS9. On the regular cast I always look to Avery Brooks and Rene Auberjonis as the most talented actors because they came off as very passionate and believable in their roles. Sisko especially seemed to be a 24th century equivilent to Avery Brooks himself.

I also considered Andy Robinsion to be a very talented actor. His portrayal of Garak was one of the most appealing parts of the show.

I think Rene Auberjonois (Odo) was one of the best actors because he played his part brilliantly, and I think Odo would have been a tough role to play.

Terry Farrell was also very good.

^ The two main enemies on DS9 were the Dominion (seasons 3-7), the Cardassians throughout the whole series, and the Klingons for season 4 and some of season 5. The Romulans were always lurking, but were the Federation's ally by mid season 6.

If I had to pick one overall, it would be the Dominion. Sometimes the Cardassians were our friends.
