Like with Captain Janeway, temporal paradoxes always give me a headache
However, I would like to discuss them in this context: in Star Trek there consistently are episodes about time travel and if something didn't happen, something would. If you go back in time and something ends up happening, that thing was in the future already. Do you get what I'm saying? And like in Back to the Future. It was unintentional that many of the things happened, but they NEEDED to happen in order for the future to stay intact.
Discuss them here, and all the confusions that happen and everything.

It's also like the DS9 episode when Benjamin, Jadzia, and Julian are brought back to the 2020s and screw up the timeline. However, the Defiant is still intact, but everything else is gone. Also, there are other Trek episodes in which the main ship is sheltered from the time change, such as the First Contact movie. Just throwing out some topics for the discussion.

well, in my opinion:

if time travel would be possible i don't believe you would be able too go into the past. Only the future. Since things done in the past can cause you never using the time machine, thus you never going back and so on and so on.

Future is possible though, every time you go there you would change your own future. Going too the future is soooo much simpeler.

of course, if you believe in Dimensions, events caused by time travel would change dramatically. Travelling towards the past would become possible in my book, as soon as you jump back you create a new dimension, thus if you would jump back forward again you would be in a diffeent present, only abitly too return you a dimension similar too your own istravelling back again and preventing yourself from jumping, of course in that dimension there would be 2 of you time travelling, both eager too travel back.... Pffff, i'm going to fast.

If time travel was possible, sometime in the future a group of beings would go back as necessary to make "corrections".

Therefore, either time travel is impossible, or we are living in the timeline that some group of beings consider the "best of all possible".

When I was writing it, I was in the middle of the first episode, and I didn't realize that there was a second one And those are interesting theories...
