PostTue Aug 09, 2005 6:29 pm    Star Trek: Defiance

In the future Starfleet's new ship U.S.S. Defiance goes on the exploration of the vast undiscovered worlds. The crew led by Captain Mariah Henley set course for a new adventure.

Captain Mariah Henley (Commanding Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Female

Commander Nelson Daniels (First Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Male

Commander Alyssa Ogawa (Chief Medical Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Female

Commander Marla Gilmore (Chief Engineering Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Female

Lieutenant Manchell (Ambassador/Bartender/Head Chef/Science Officer)
Race: Bolian
Sex: Male

Lieutenant Naomi Wildman (Chief Astrometrics Officer)
Race: Human/Katarian
Sex: Female

Lieutenant Noah Lessing (Chief Science Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Male

Lieutenant Commander Trevor Ayala (Chief Tactical/Security Officer)
Race: Human
Sex: Male

The Ship
U.S.S. Defiance NCC-8745-E

Sovreign Class

Built at Utopia Planitia Shipyard.

This is an idea not an rpg.

Heres how the story would workout.

In the season the crew would encounter many entities that have not yet been encountered by Starfleet and everytime it will in-danger the crew. Almost half-way through the season the Captain Mariah Henley gets promoted to Admiral for a short time. Then commander Nelson Daniels becomes the commanding officer and names Marla Gilmore his first officer. But also half-way through the season Admiral Mariah Henley ask to be demoted back to Captain because she missed her ship. So she becomes Captain and commands the ship again. Now in the season they encounter some Hirogens who have dared to enter the Alpha Quadrant. So they fight that problem out. Along the way they will face the new threat in the Alpha Quadrant which is the Hirogen-Vidian Alliance. The Alliance have sent ships to the Alpha Quadrant from the Delta Quadrant and attacked Federation Territories.

So this series would be a mix of Deep Space Nine and TNG.

Sounds good!!

the only thing is i think that the chances of Mariah Henley becoming Captain are low because she is a former maquis and she is a crewman on voyager... it would be a long time before she makes it to captain

Well as you noticed I added Naomi Wildman so this would be 17 years into the future or so. So lets say she becomes Captain then.

Not sure about the female captain. Voyager did a piss-poor job with that gimmick.

Unless they can write a captain who happens to be a woman--and who acts like a woman--instead of pushing the tired, second-wave feminist agenda, this venture is doomed to failure.

Gilmore and Lessing would have been cashiered from the service as soon as they got home. They would not serve in starfleet again.

That's so true. She doesn't have to be butch! Women can be powerful and girly (I can't spell feminim (the opposite of masculin)) at the same time!
