This a discussion about the paranormal.
I have long since believed that there is a spirt/ghost/something weird in my house. I don't know what/who it is, but it makes me very afraid. No one else in the house can sense it. I've also had premonitions, visions and frequently get deja-vu. Me and a friend did some research and it turns out I could be "spiritually sensitive", and more subseptable to the paranormal.
I know what you're thinking, "silly little fifteen year old girl with an overactive imagination and too much spare time", right? But I know I feel, see and hear things that other people do. And I know I do not have amazingly acute senses, so the things I experience are not normal.
I was wondering if anyone has ever had contact with the paranormal, used a ouiji board or performed any rituals, because this thing in my house is really freaking me out. I'm living in constant fear, fear that there really is this evil in my house, and fear that I'm going crazy.
Please don't laugh at me or tell me that if I had faith in Jesus I wouldn't be afraid, because even way back when I was a model believing Chrisitan, this thing in my house would scare me.

My family has always have had problems with something in our houses.
My aunt saw a "Demon" in her window.
My mum's old house was really haunted, she would go to sleep and in the night the lights would come on and you could hear people talking.
My mom, her freind and me used a ouiji board once in her freinds house, and weird crap started to happen, I hate ouiji boards, thier scary the crap out of me now.
The room i am staying in is haunted, from time to time you can see some one standing in my window or i will be sleeping here a noise, get up and see someone going in to my closet, but their is no one in my closet, So now i leave it alone and it leaves me alone.
So in answer of your question: yes i have had contact with the paranormal, and yes i have used a ouiji board before.

If I was rich enough to own a boat, do you think i would choose to live in this house.
When I was younger, I did believe it was complete BS. But now, now i'm not so sure. The noises have started again. They're coming from the loft this time. Probably a squirell (I hope it's a squirrel).

I believe in it completely. I think that there are a load of frauds out there and you do have to be careful what you believe.

I think almost everyone's had these kinds of experiences. More than once, in this room that I'm in right now, I've seen black figures moving really fast. Once it looked like someone was running at me, and another time it was close to the ground and looked like a cat. There have been some others, most of the time it's been in here but that's probably just because it's where I am most of the time. I also get that deja vu feeling way too much, and it annoys me to death. For one second I just know I've lived this moment before, the next I can't remember. (How annoying is that?) I've also seen shadows in the curtains before upstairs, and when I check nothing is there. Bah, it's really getting annoying, but it doesn't really concern me.
P.S. Anyone else ever actually tried that ESP or Chi/ki stuff? I bought some books from this guy named "Commander X" who is supposed to be a former military intelligence person I think. The stuff in the books sounds really cool, but it's too hard to believe in it. I probably wasted my money.

No way. The X-Files says it's fate giving you a chance to set things right. That's why whever I have deja vu, I do something completely different then I usually would in that situation. Because maybe the first time it happened, I did something wrong, and now I have to set it right by doing something else.

I completely believe in this. I have a Ouji board and I bring it to my friends house all the time. We tried the "white noise" thing. It was REALLY creepy. Because if you turn the volume up ALL the way on the recording you can kinda hear people talking. I went to see a "psychic" once. I was thinking this is the biggest fraud of all time. But when I sat down and I started talking to her, she just made sense. She told me that I could see things before they happen, and that when I got strong senses of deja vu, I should pay extra attention to my suroundings. But in everyday life I'll just be doing something, and it feels like "I've already done this, I know I have". Sometimes its scary, but other times.... it can be pretty cool.

I think... everybody gets deja vu and it's just a little glitch in our brains and it doesn't really make us special because... everybody gets it.

I Believe in ghosts. They scare the living hell out of me though so I don't like thinking they exist.
When I was little I was crying for the loss of my uncle Peter. We were really really close. And then I heard this man's voice saying it would be ok. Scared me half to death though.
And then, I was at my dads house and he was having his bathroom re-done. I walked into it to get to another room of the house and I could have sworn I saw someone underneath the bathtub. I told one of my uncles and he came back with a hammer! lol. I can't exactly say I have came into contact with someone from the dead or anything becuase it very well could have been my imagination. But I would never use a ouji board. I have heard too many stories and don't wanna find out first hand.

Well, yes, I believe in it, but I don't think it's wise to play with an Ouija-board. You summon spirits with that board, but you don't know what kind. It could be a bad one, and you don't want that.
A safer way to discover if you have a paranormal gift is to use Tarot-cards. For me it means getting clarity in a point in my life where I'm just having trouble dealing with things. If I have a problem, I lay the cards before me and see what they have to tell me. There are no ghosts or spirits involved.
If you have such a gift, you should explore it if you want to. Just get enough information, see what is possible. Good luck!!

I was a skeptic, now I am a believer.
I went on a walk with my friends through a cemetery one day, they all believed in ghosts. I was being especially defiant toward the prospect of ghosts, and making light by being very sarcastic about it.
We came across this one spot on a path, where I got a cold chill down my spine. I thought nothing of it. We continued through the cemetary, as my defiance continued. Every time we would loop back arond this particular area, I would being to feel strange; kinda queasy, cold, hot, ect... Finally, I said something to my friends about it, and we went back to that spot, and looked closer. I then looked at one tombstone and suddenly felt strong instincts to run and a very afraid sensation, I went from defiance to extreme fear instantly. As I focused in on the tombstone, I began to feel what I can only describe like sand in my eyes, it was painful, and I started to get very afraid. I felt some kind of presence making sure I knew of them. I sprinted out of the cemetery, leaving my confused friends behind. They never described feeling what I felt. Later on, we went back into that cemetery, trying to find any resolution, and we were unable to find the spot we were in. It was like a force was now steering us away from it. I haven't found it since.
I do honestly beleive that something was trying to teach me a lesson, for me to go from skeptic to beleive in an instant is insane. I now have a respect for spirits, and realise it is nothing to be taken lightly. I have not, since, had any negative experiences with spirits.
Another story, a more positive one, involved me in my truck hours before a long road trip I'd had planned. (The truck I was driving at the time was my Grandpa's truck before he died, when he died, my Grandma gave it to me.) Anyways, I was ready to go visit my friend at college, and went to get some soda from the convience store before I left. On my way back from the store, and oil line in my truck mysteriously disconnected itself, leaving me riding crammed in the backseat of my other friends' car for the trip. Well, it turned out that my truck may have lost an oil line, but I then noticed a gouge in the right front tire, which would've blown, had I driven much further than I did. Losing that oil line may have very well saved my life. I do beleive someone was watching out for me.
Ghosts are real. I'm fully convinced.

Thats just something physical. Perhaps you had a slight black-out or passed out a little bit on the spot. That happens sometimes when your body is experiencing sudden changes(the draft and your excitement).
Its all very epxlainable in that way since you got back a second time and didn't feel anything. Wouldn't you think a ghosts that tries too get rid of won't do it again when you return?

"Ghost" is a very vague expression. I believe there are two varieties, concious spirits and energy recordings.
If a person dies before their time, the surroundings they were in may somehow record their last few moments. That's when you get a ghost and at first they're brightly coloured, then over the years they fade to white and then disappear completely. They repeat a moment over and over, a good example of this would be battlefield reinactments, where ghosts appear to reinact the battle in which they died in. I think these are the most common type of ghost.
Concious spirits are aware of their actions. This includes poltegeists. Sometimes they are there because the person does not realise, or cannot accept they are dead, and sometimes they are there because they have "unfinished business". They wander around, aware that they are wandering around, sometimes looking for something.
Quote: | We tried the "white noise" thing. It was REALLY creepy. Because if you turn the volume up ALL the way on the recording you can kinda hear people talking |
Oooh! Try looking at the white noise picture on a television and sometimes you can see faces. Also, sometimes if you look at the background of baby scans you can see faces. That may be a coinidence, but it's fun anyway. Just like playing "another one bites the dust" backwards and finding out that it says "It's fun to smoke marijuana". If you play bits of "stairway to heaven" backwards, you get "come with me to the toolshed Satan" and one Britney Spears song, when played backwards reveals "sleep with me, I'm not too young"

Alright, I think I certainly will. It's gotta be more fun than that crazy cartoon Tazmainian Devil.... You skeptics and your Rubiks-Cube reality.
I got posessed by some weird spirit in a Wendy's Drive Thru. It wasn't really "posessed" per say, rather I was myself (talking) and someone else sitting there watching me talk at the same time. Quite the strange experience.
