Huzzah! They're still coming out with Voyager books that occur while Voyager was still in the DQ. Today I was at B&N and came across String Theory, Book 1 :Cohesion... and was totally nerdily stoked that there was a new book that I haven't heard about.

The new story has come out as a "10th anniversary odyssey", and acording to the historian's note, occurs between the fourth and fifth seasons of Voyager. I haven't had time to crack it open to start reading yet, but this was exciting so I felt like being the first one to make a topic.

Yeah as far as I know it's supposed to be the first book in a trilogy set in either late Season 4 or early Season 5.

You'll have to let us know if it's any good - I was tempted to get this one. At one point I actually ordered it on Amazon but then cancelled it later on

I'm bidding on it now. If I don't win it, I'll go to Amazon.com. They have a used copy for under $4.

No, the author is Jeffery Lang (who, incidently (or not so incidently) is also the name of my new imaginary brother-in-law).

I'm only on... chapter 2ish, but I have to admit that I loved this book and author from the first sentence of Chapter 1.

Tom Paris was thinking about mushrooms.

And then there's a whole two pages about why he's thinking about mushrooms and how he's really bored at the helm because the helm is usually boring. I just thought... wow... this author captures Tom's personality perfectly. I love it. Authors who can capture character like that rule.

Phew, well, I'm sure it'll be a good book then. Maybe I'll pick it up.... if I'm feeling Trek-ish. What a coincidence.... perhaps its a sign.

I might have spoken too soon.... if you like reading in depth detail about alien government and religious systems... then read this book. Maybe... they're still just getting in to the story. BUt after the funny part with Tom, the author kind of made sure to kick him out of the storyline too. So... boring (so far... hopefully it will get better)

It seems to be quite popular though - apparently it has gone back for a second printing. Bearing in mind how recently it was released this seems (to me) to be very fast!

Yeah, I never even knew it was coming out in the first place. It must be popular.. bec ause everyone still wants to hear about adventures in the Delta Quadrant. That's why I like it.

I recently finished it. It's pretty good. All of Tom's parts are pretty funny. Does anyone know when the next one will be out?

I just went in to look at the sci fi section and was SHOCKED to see it and DID NOT pass up the oppurtunity to get it...I want the second one now!

I don't like the "String Theory" books because they takes place in seasons 4 and 5. I want books from seasons 1-3.

I like "Violations". It's a great book. In fact, I like all the season 1-3 Voyager books, especially "The Black Shore" by Greg Cox and "marooned" by Christie Golden.

I loved Marooned. Try Battle Lines, The Murdered Sun- and I loved the 'SEven of Nine' book
