There has to be, she said there would be seven. I... haven't read it yet. I know, I'm bad. It's sitting right here on my desk. But I heard that the end is very mournful. But Cookie just think she's cool because "the cool crowd" doesn't read Harry potter. They watch Star Trek. And are nerds. Just like she is.

Well, I haven't read the book yet, but she said in an interview there will be 7 books, and she's already written the last chapter of the last book, so I guess there will be a book #7.
I'm very curious now that you talk about it. I just want to wait when the Dutch version comes out, that's in November...

[moved to Star Trek Books- Seven of Nine]

There is another book- J K Rowling is in the process of writing it. I'll continue below

SPOILERS:
Quote:
It says at the end that Harry won't return to Hogwarts... I'm not sure if he will or not, but that doesn't mean the book hasn't got a lot of unanswered questions. The war has only just begun, so it's likely that the next book deals with that, whether it's based at Hogwarts or not. I was surprised that Dumbledore was killed off, and that JKR had no problems with doing it, but I understand that it is needed so that Harry can fufil his destiny. I still want to know what Dumbledore's reasons for trusting Snape were, and whether Snape killed Dumbledore because he wanted to, or just because of the unbreakable vow.

I enjoyed the book, and finished it within a few hours of buying it on Saturday

Could you tell me the chapter, as I have the British version, which only goes up to page 607 (different font and bigger book ). I guess I need to re-read it

No word on a release date- there won't be one until JKR finishes the book. Hopefully not too long

There is no question, nor has there ever been a question that there will be a seventh book. She's had the end planned all along. This next one will be the last in the series. It will be a couple years at least until it comes out. She has a life outside writting.

Mic, Wow! You thought the end sets it up that there won't be a seventh? I don't feel that way at all. In fact, to me, it was the complete opposite. The end of 6 leaves an opening for hundreds more books!

It would be kinda weird for him to have seven years of school, and having one book chronicle each year.... and to only have six,

Yeah, it didn't take me long to finish it either.

I kind of hope after she finishes with Harry, I was hoping she might expand on the earlier years of Dumbledore's life. I have always kind of wondered how he became what he is ( or was ).

Spolier

I really liked the books but I think Dumbledores death was pretty bad because it made me sad.

I really enjoy the books and am watching the new movie tonight.
Personally though the last book was really good but sad.

I also hope Harry Potter returns to hogwarts at the very end to teach, Because it was his home and the only place he has ever really been happy.
By the way Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter in movies) wants Harry to die fighting Voldermort and possibly kill him so it ties the series up nicely.... Idiot.

That does it, I'm going to have to get it back off the shelf and read it. I've only had it gathering dust since ummm... got it three days after launch... so how many weeks has it been out?

I did have a mad flurry of Potter-mania when the films first started being aired, but I'm now back in Trek where I've always belonged.
