Season 1 of Stargate: Atlantis started on terrestrial TV yesterday. I have taped the episode and will be watching it either tonight or tomorrow. I'm not expecing a clone of SG-1 (I wouldn't want one) but I would like something that is slightly true to the spirit of the original SG-1 series.
As far as DVD's go, I have dozens which I haven't had time to watch yet. I will be starting on Season 2 of The A-Team soon, as it's a favourite show of mine, in that it didn't take itself too seriously, it gave the audience a fun time and had the right balance of humour, action and drama.

Well, I did enjoy Stargate: Atlantis. It was a very good pilot episode, and it had quite a bit of subtle humour in it, which I enjoyed. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I'm going to rent the following episodes out by the end of the week, rather than waiting for them to air on TV.
It's a worthy addition to the SG-1 universe, and I hope it runs for as long as the original SG-1 series.
