PostSun Jun 26, 2005 8:40 pm    What i would like to see from a new Series

Captain

Played by: Phina Oruche
A starfleet captain in her late 30's specialising first in engineering and then becoming a captain. Shes single, never been married and is devoted to her work in starfleet.

Commander

Played by: F.J. Rio
A (Telepathic alien) starfleet commander in his early 30's that is eager to please his captain and crew. He is in a relationship with a woman but it doesnt last because there work stops them from being together.

Helm Officer

Played by: Adam Garcia
The human Helm officer is extremly smart and young. not too long out of the academy. He is single and gay but that is not what his character is about. He is a regular officer just like the rest of them.

Chief Tactical Officer

Played by: Amber Benson
The eager bajoran tactical officer in her late 20's takes pride in defending the ship and keeping the crew safe. Sometimes she can be out of line and disrespects the chain of command.

Chief Ops Officer

Played by: John Harrington Bland
A bolian (or other alien species) officer with little experience in starfleet but has alot of contacts in high places with his people.

Science officer:

Played by: Amy Acker
A human science officer that has a passion for traveling and experiencing new alien sciences. She is fresh out of the academy. She graduated second in her class at starfleet academy and a times can be rather shy around new people. (I chose her as science because of how excellent at being a science geek she was in her roll as 'Fred' in Angel. Also she would be the first human chief science officer we have seen in star trek to date)

When you care who the actors are, it's called a soap opera.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION I chose these people because it is realistic. If i chose what i would absolutly love to see then there would be lots of different people. I would like to see these people in star trek because they are not very famous. Not that many people know who they are or what other films/shows they have done. Plus i can actually imagine these people on the bridge of a federation starship.

So dont give me all of the criticism crap about soap operas. There is no need for it so just leave it out.[/b]

Yeah, some people you have chosen were acting very good in movies or other Startrek series like: John Harrington Bland or Adam Garcia.

With Amber Benson, i dunno. I can really easily imagine her on the bridge and shouting out "Shields are holding" or "Firing phasers!"

Yeah Or Phina Oruche giving orders like: "Stand down weapons" Or "Get a team ready, Commander. We are going to board that vessel."

I think they should make a new series featuring the cast of The Matrix. I can see Laurence Fishburne(Morpheus) giving inspiring speeches to his crew in times of hardship.

Okay here is what I want to see.

FRESH FACES, maybe some people out there who we've seen around, maybe not....but just not the same chars over and over again. Though it's nice to see some Trekstars cameo every once in a while. What I want to see is THE FUTURE. NO MORE PREQUELS. I became a die-hard trekker because of Gene Roddenberry's vision of the FUTURE, not about some useless four-or-five-year prequel SOAP OPERA (no offense meant to ENT fans who may be reading this) with special effects that surpass the ORIGINAL SERIES! Ridiculous. Trek is about what's out there....to coin a phrase, "to go boldy where no one has gone before", not to keep rehashing the same plotlines and characters over and over again. Even a die-hard VOY fan like me has to admit that Voyager had its flaws too....Anyway, my point is that I want to see a series about the future....and I'm tired of the damned Borg. ENOUGH already (again, no offense)! I mean, don't get me wrong, they were great the first two or three times...but they're a burn-out! I don't want to see any ship exploring a planet where the people who inhabit it resemble any other Trek alien I've ever seen-EVER. I want NEW and DIFFERENT and ORIGINAL. Part of the reason I liked Voyager was because the chars dealt with races that were unknown to them.

Or, even a Starfleet Academy series would be kind of neat...or S.I. even...maybe there could be some sort of conspiracy in Starfleet (not Section 31 or anything like that) that may very well end up bringing the Federation to its knees...?? Just something NEW. I wouldn't mind a Starfleet Academy series since we'd probably get to see some Trekstars cameo a bit...Janeway, Tuvok, and so forth.

Hell no, defiantly not a starfleet academy series. It would be stupid, boring and wed have to sit around and watch teenagers from the future which star trek has established are pretty much the same as they are now so i would just find it very frustrating.

I put some ppl in from other trek shows because 1. i couldnt think of many actors which arent thats famouse. lol and 2. i know they can act and they would most likley actually be in a trek show.

Yeah i would like to see something from the future but it would be very hard to do and would probly go downhill. Its clear that star trek does not want to show the 24th century anymore, so they'd have to show the 25th century or something else. If it was the very early 25th century then that would be alright because the ships would still be similar and the technology wouldnt be too advanced.

I would like to see something on either a starship, space station or maybe soemthing thats not a starfleet ship. Could still be in the federation but not starfleet. I guess that could be interesting. I would say bajoran or something like that but star trek wouldnt want to show much more of bajorans seeing as we have already seen so much of them. Maybe a Trill or Betazoid ship. That would be funky

I totally agree with you, the people who you picked to play the characters make it seem more real.

Watch the personal insults. People have a right to their own opinion. Don't go around saying that just because someone wants to pick the actors doesn't mean it's a soap opera.

Thanks.

They are all great actors... and that adam garcia bloke is really hot! Will he be like the equivelant of 7 of 9?

I like your idea, and I think that crew would work well.
