Wed Jul 06, 2005 6:54 pm Favorite Movie of a comic. |
|
Alright, lets say you are one of those who has seen all of the movies listed above, which one is the best and why?
secondly, if you wish, perhaps you can also say which one is the worst and if you really hate any of them.
Thirdly, opinions about the comic Movies hype going on? Is it going to far? Do they all suck? are they the best there is?
I will place the Fantastic Four when i have seen it myself.
If i missed one tell me.

Uh, Batman, Superman, and Catwoman are not Marvle Properties. They are DC characters.
I personally liked the Punisher Movie. Both the new and old one.

Spawn is also not a Marvel character. I'm also a little surprised at the lack of mentioning of the three Blade films, both Punisher films, The Crow films, From Hell, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sin City, Constantine, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Bulletproof Monk, The Mask, among others.
Anyway, my favourite comic-based film is Ghost World. I never read the comic, hell I don't even know if it would appeal to me or not, but the movie was great. It was about a teenaged girl named Enid, and her transition from highschool to adulthood, and her eventua friendship with a man her and her best friend played a prank on. It stars the lovely Thora Birch as Enid, Scarlett Johansson, and Steve Buscemi.

I haven't seen the first Punisher movie, but I saw the 2004 version and I think it's awesome. (The game is awesome too)

Great Topic! I voted for "X-men, 1 and 2" but I am also a fan of the Spiderman Movies.
I first saw the X-Men movies with my old best friend and his Dad when it first came out. I wasn't expecting it to be any good; after all it was only a remake of a comic book. After I watched it was I was amazed by it. Maqstic (Forgive the spelling) was a great character. Wolverine had a history behind him that developed in both of the movies. In the second Movie, X-Men 2, the tornado scene was outstanding. I had no idea that people had the ability to pull something off that digitally remastered as they did.
Spiderman was a good movie, the actors that played each of the parts were really well chosen. Peter Parker's actor looked and felt like he fit into the movie just as if it was a comic book itself.
I saw Catwoman also, the version with Halley Berry, but I didn't like it all that much. Yes, the actress was stunning, but that alone in a movie really doesn't just rock my boat. The storyline was a little choppy and the overall result wasn't anything that I liked or desire ever to watch again.
I also rented Electra, not the first one, but didnt like it very much. Jennifer Garner did a great job, but the storyline was hard to follow and it was a little to complicated for me. I never read the comics so I didnt like it that much. They should have made it a lot easier to understand to people who had not known what it was about to start off with.

I just loooooved Daredevil. X-men and others I liked also, but I really liked the concept of Daredevil, that he's blind. He's got a bigger weakness than other superhero's, and he can still do amazing things. I loved the movie.

Superman. I like X-Men, and like Batman, but Superman is just, yeah. Even though now the effects are cheesy.

Don't worry about it.

Ghost World should be added. As it's the best comic-based film ever.

I didn't forget. Just not enough room. Still wondering how Constantine got among them...
The ones that are not there are not forgotten, just piled up into an "Other" option. Also Series count.
ones not there:
Blade
Sin City
mutant X
Ghost World (whatever that is)
TMNT
The punisher
The crow
The mask
League of Extraordinary gentleman
Fantastic Four
Of course there are others, you can slap me if i forgot more... Can't know them all.
