I've got no idea. Why don't you just check ign.com or consult google?

Oh, oh... I really didn't see this topic. Well, i don't know what the first FF was, but i do know some FF game's for the PS2, but i only know 1 by name. Chrystal Chronicals, a cool game. FF X-2, a good game and also cool game. FF 5, is nice, but sometimes boring game. There are a few more, but.... I hope this will help you .

It's quite weird - I only remember as far back as Final Fantasy 7...

If you go to the link below and type in 'Final Fantasy' as a search term (under 'All Platforms') it comes up with a list of all the Final Fantasty titles released.

Hope that helps

EDIT: Argh! I just realised I forgot to paste the link! Sorry! Here it is:

The best Final Fantasy games for PS/PS2:
FF 7 (A bit wierd... as a warning... don't get too attached to Aeris... she dies )
FF 9 (Love this game!!!!!! Isn't it obvious? My avatar is "Vivi")
FF 10 (Lady Yuna rules. Rikku Rules.)
FF 10-Sequel (FF-X-2 Lady Yuna rules. Rikku's wardrobe rules. Rikku sucks... . Paine ROCKS!)
I haven't tried too many others, but FF-4 was depressing, lol.
Also, don't confuse the Final Fantasy Chronicles for PS2 with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for Gamecube(By large, and by far, the only title which does not deserve a Final Fantasy name. It sucks. Plain and simple )

The first Final Fantasy was obviously FF #1 which was released both in Japan and US around 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This was a fairly standard game which involved picking out heroes, saving the world, etc.

2 more Final Fantasies were launched in Japan for the NES, #2 and #3, but through either a case of less popularity or less sales, they were never launched in US or EU markets.

US and EU would not see another Final Fantasy until 1991 when #4 was launched for the Super Nintendo. Since the US and EU markets did not see #2 and #3, #4 was renamed to #2 for those markets.

Final Fantasy: USA was launched in 1992 as a "Easy" version of Final Fantasy. The EU version was called Mystic Quest Legend and the US version Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. I would argue this was a "Trainer" in that the gameplay was much simpler than a regular Final Fantasy game.

Final Fantasy #5 and #6 were the last two FF games for the SNES. #5 was never launched in US, my guess being it was a difficult game to play, which left only #6. FF #6 (Renamed to #3 for the US markets) amongst the hardcore fans argue this is the best in the series, given the complex plot, well-developed characters, and a pretty good game and combat system.

Seiken Densetsu 1 (Legend of the Sacred Sword) was launched for Game Boy. The US-version of the game was called Final Fantasy: Adventure, and the EU version was called "Mystic Quest". Despite the renaming, I would not call this a Final Fantasy game in the slightest, since the gameplay, development and characters are unique in every respect.

The SaGa series for Gameboy (All 3 games) were all renamed as the "Final Fantasy Legend" series. Like Seiken Densetsu, the renaming was to help boost sales through the use of the Final Fantasy name.

The Playstation would be the home to Final Fantasy #7 (1997), #8 (1998) and #9 (2000), in addition to their most complex combat system, Final Fantasy tactics (1998). Playstation also served as a remake zone for #1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 as they were released as part of the "Origins", "Choronogly" and "Anthology" collections.

Playstation 2 hosts Final Fantaxy X, X-2 and the MMORPG, XI.

Gamecube saw Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, a multi-player FF game.

Gameboy Advance has not seen much in the way of new Final Fantasy games. FF: Tactics Advance was a break from the more recent "Graphics heavy" concepts and relied on a strong story to keep the game rolling along. Dawn of Souls was like Origins for PS1, in that it presented a remake of FF #1 and #2, but this game plays very differently, and in some ways, it's more difficult than the original cartridges.

Currently, in a European or North American world, the only way to play FF #3 (Jap) would be to find a translated ROM online, since there is no non-Japanese version available.
