3 rings for the Elven kings under the sky,
7 for the Dwarf lords in their caves of stone,
And 9 for mortals doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne,
In the land of Mordor, where the shadows lie.

One ring to rule them all,
one ring to find them.
One ring to bring them all,
and in the darkness bind them.
In the land of Mordor, where the shadows lie.

That's from memory. If I made any mistakes, let me know.

Oh, and if you're into computer geek humor, go to this cartoon, and then just keep clicking the "next cartoon" button until you reach the end of the storyline (it will be obvious, but remember not all "Sunday" strips will follow the story, just skip them).

*sighs, face gets a bit whiter* You mean I have to read The Hobbit too?! Oh dear...I keep meaning to read the LOR books, bc my friend is totally into them, and the movie looks like it will rock (hence the avatar of Arwen/Liv Tyler, whom I find quite pretty...), but I never have time to thanks to school and stuff Ah well...what Christmas break is for!

You don't have to read "The Hobbit". That's just the story of how they end up with the ring. It's good, but not necessary.
