I use Mozilla Firefox. I do not want to open the floor to uninformed browser bashing (oh wait . . . the floor is already open) but with Mozilla Firefox, you Browse Happy.
Firefox is safer and more secure than Internet Explorer, with more features and, in my opinion, a brighter future. Internet Explorer's largest fault is its continued neglection of web standards. While the average user may not know a lot about web standards, web standards are nevertheless important for the average user. IE has numerous problems, such as faulty CSS support and worse, little support for the PNG image. These problems aren't even the worst of it--it's that Microsoft does little to fix these problems with each release, and often incorporates additional things that muck it up even further.
I don't have much of a problem with Opera, but given a choice between Firefox with uber-awesomely wubbable extension such as Web Developer and Adblock, or a good browser that unfortunately comes with ads, I will choose the uber-awesomely wubbable one.

It does not have ads if you pay a one time 20 dollar fee. Their are great extensions for Opera, that are great.

I use Firefox. The only reason I ever use IE is when I have to edit my msn space as it doesn't work with firefox.

I use Firefox... would delete IE if I could, but some programs I have seem to need it...
I also use thunderbird as my email program- it's easier to use than Outlook Express.

I use Opera. The only problem with it is that it has the occaaaasional crash, but when you re-open it you can press that nifty little button to bring up all the pages you had open before it died, I don't like IE or the AOL browser (the other ones on this computer) and I've never tried Mozilla.

Mozilla!! Soooo much better than Explorer. Though my parents still use explorer, so when I'm at their house no mozilla for me!

I use internet explorer (version from xp sp2). I find the pop-up blocking feature quite useful.
Tried firefox/mozilla or whatever you call it and find I just can't migrate from regular browsing to inbuilt tabbed browsing.

Bah security. IE is just as secure as any borwser if not more secure if it's up to date with security fixes from windowsupdate.microsoft.com. The most common problem is people just don't update their security fixes because either they don't know about it or their too lazy so they assume IE has bad security.
IE is an integral part of the windows o/s. Even if you use another browser you still need to keep your IE browser up to date for the security sake of your system. Many services still depend of the secure fuctioning of IE.

Integral, exactly. Windows and Internet Explorer are integrated, giving the latter more access to the Windows system than many other programs. Thus, if something affects Internet Explorer, it has more access to the Windows system than another browser would. This is a major system vulnerability.
No service should depend upon the secure functioning of Internet Explorer. That's called a monopoly. Services should be platform independent, so that they work on any device--PC, laptop, cell phone--and in any browser (provided the browser is built properly). That's the key to accessibility.
Another vulnerability is ActiveX. ActiveX is a huge security flaw that is entirely Microsoft's own invention. People complain that Firefox doesn't support ActiveX, but it is for a good reason. ActiveX allows third-party websites to install software on Explorer without the user's permission, unless they have ActiveX disabled or on an extremely high setting. Most users don't have that, thus hackers favour targetting Explorer because of this easy way to penetrate users' systems.
