4x4 is a huge waste of money unless you actually need to have it. I live in the city and we have these rich people driving around in these huge Ford F-350's...is just stupid. If you drive a F-350, I want to see it dirty half the time, or I want to see you having to drive on bad roads, or I want to see you towing a trailer, or hay or something. Otherwise, you don't neeeeed it.

Many places in north and central United States have deer overpopulation problems.

In fact according to a recent study:
Quote:
Some 150 people die each year in more than 1.5 million traffic accidents involving collisions with deer, according to an insurance industry-funded report released recently that puts the economic damage at $1.1 billion.

Source: ESPN Article by the Associated Press

Deer are a big problem in the U.S., in and out of cities. They don't just stay in the country, I see deer occasionally in cemetaries downtown, if there's any grass and trees, they'll show up; and I wouldn't want to hit one in a compact. I've always been a fan of small trucks. You get some decent mileage, 4 wheel drive for winter traction, towing and hauling capacity, and some protection in an accident.

A lambo would probally use twice as much fuel as a 4x4, too.

For that argument you may as well just have everyone drive a toyota pirus.

4x4 is good especially in the snow and slippery places so it is not a waste of money.

I like them. The air been polluted for years. I like having fun and not just be bored.

My mum got chased by a moose when she went to Alaska

If I was in a place nice enough to have moose then I wouldn't drive at all, I'd hike.

I will. Solitude would be so nice.

I was going to say something but it's a bit naughty, there may be kids here so I'll leave it for PM's.

Not when you are isolated, you wouldn't just hike. Go to the nearest city, 20+ miles away, work all day, and hike home? Let's add that it's the dead of winter, and the sun is only out about six hours a day, everything is frozen over, and there is heavy precipitation.

I think stupid twats driving down the road putting on make up in the rear view cause more accidents than anything.

I would still hike. Ray Mears walked across half of Sweden in the dead of winter, catching all his own food, building his own shelter etc etc. A 20 mile walk is nothing. And if I lived in a place like that, I'd work from home.

lol... Yeah... ^

For some reason I don't think you would want to walk 20 miles in ALASKA in winter for very long hun, unless you are ammune to those kind of conditions like the natives who live there.

I'm built for cold, seriously. And I wouldn't live in harsh conditions anyway if I had to walk 20 miles to work. I'd rather live in a place were I could walk or catch the train or bus to work.

I'd rather drive myself, and have some real fun drifting in the snow.
