I used to get it. Turned out it was to do with my intake of additives and the times I was eating. Plus, I was overheating and dehydrated.

Yeah, it's very evil! I hardly have it, but when I'm sick or something I can't fall asleep easily and I really hate that. I can only imagine what it is for someone to have it every night....

I'm finding it hard to get to sleep, and when I do sleep it's never for more than a few hours. I'm feeling really ill right now, and I can't sleep

I think we've all had it at one time or another. Usually, I get it if I've disrupted my body clock. For example, weeks back, I had two late nights when I didn't get to bed until 4.15am and that disrupted my cycle.

I think the best way to deal with insomnia is to NOT fight it. The more you close your eyes, the more you push your head into the pillow, well, it just doesn't work. Personally, I believe if you're suffering from insomnia, get up and do something for 15-20 minutes. Then, try again.

Of course, if you really want to cure insomnia, you could listen to a Liberal Democrats speech.

I only sleep for half an hour at a time and then I'm awake for about 2 or 3 hours. So annoying but I don't know if it's classed as insomnia. Its a pain anyway.

I used to have it really bad. Now it comes every once in a while so it's not as bad.

Being unable to fall asleep is horrible. Bribe your doctor to give you Ambien.

I have terminal insomnia. I can't fall asleep and I don't experience real sleep. It sucks, but I listen to music.

I'm perscribed tranquilizers and ambien for sleep.

I'd rather not take drugs like that because I fear I will become addicted to them. So I have been taking Tylenol PM for about a year and half every night.

(bad I know... but I wont be able to sleep)

I also take Ambien, have been for about a year and a half now. It's very easy to become addicted to it. I dread the day when my shrink refuses to refill my prescription. *shudders*

I just hate the way it makes me feel. I feel like I'm on drugs (which I am) But... yuck... I hate it! I have it there just incase... But I will run to the store at 3am to get tylenol pm before I take them.

Yeah, the Ambien does give you that..I feel no pain feeling. I watch tv while I'm nodding off to sleep and the show gets fuzzy. *shrug* I'd use Tylenol pm, but it doesn't work for me. I can't remember the last time I fell asleep without taking an Ambien. It's been quite awhile.

^That is strange because Ambien does not work for me. I get like a druggy feeling then It goes away in like 10 mins. And then I'm still up like if nothing.

Yeah...once the druggy feeling hits, then you have to 'try to sleep'. If you avoid the druggy feeling, which I often do because I'm trying to watch the end of a show, then you're up for another hour. It doesn't necessarily help me fall asleep faster, it just helps me stay asleep.
