I have the same problem (except the part about talking to guys). My mom always points out two or three things I said wrong, so I usually go and talk in my room alone.

Some of us do and some of us don't. Sometimes we argue on the phone. It scares away telemarketers.

Then we're up *beep* creek without a paddle. We have to get Shark to get out and pull us. The smell afterwards makes us cry.

I've had 3 people this week say, "you never answer your phone."

So that's a no I guess,

I like it, although it depends who it is. I think I might take Bob's example for the next sales person, and see how they react to it,

I would say to a telemarketer... "This is Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Federation Starship Enterprise... Calling this number violates Federation law there for you shall be punished for your actions."

Or you could just do like I do and say "I'm on the DNC list" and hang up. That ususally works.

I always say, with my sweetest voice: I'm not interested. And they hang up. Simple as that!

You could always mention your lawyer 5 or 6 times.

Always, always be nice to telemarkters. Seriously. They have your address right there in front of them, and you may just be dealing with a nutcase. There are a couple of stories out about this, and it was enough to scare me, Besides, remember, they are just people trying to earn a living, too, they don't mean any harm.

We just don't pick up the phone because we have caller ID. It says OUT OF AREA when it's a telemarketer so we don't really have to deal with them that much.

Noo... I'd rather talk online or in person. I always trip over words on the phone. I keep trying to say stuff and.... "So whuter... whater...what...are...we...doing?" It goes like that. Normally.
