Indeed, I was flipping through it at Chapters awhile ago, I didn't buy it because (at the time) I had other books in my sights, but it would be a worthwhile purchase.

Regarding Voyager's many 'shortcuts', I just saw "The Voyager Conspiracy", where they acquire the use of a subspace slingshot to cut 3 years off their journey.

The Delta Quadrant is 50,000 Ly from the galactic core to the edge of the galaxy. Seeing as to how the galaxy is ONLY 100,000 Ly in diameter anyway, and each quadrant is equal in size.

Ya. We know this already. But the Badlands is only like 20-30 LY from Earth anyway. I don't remember EXACTLY how many LY, but it's right around there. I don't have my "Star Trek: Star Charts" book with me, so I can't tell you. But it's right around there I believe.

To be more accurate, vgr travelled 46,028LY so they went through the transwarp aperture for 23,972LY................
