Why buy them things? It's such a waste, you trying to compensate for your lack of personality with a brand or something? Never got it

lol, you have no idea what you are talking about. Just because I like to have nice things and am able to get them means I am trying to compensate for my lack in personality??
I buy coach, gucci and prada because I know they are very reliable products. They wont break on me, and if they do I can always take it in and get it replaced. I buy quality... not cheap crap. k?

I think it's better to buy brand names because from my experience as zero says, they are more reliable. So what you have to pay a bit more for them. In the long run they save money.
How do they try to make up for lack of personality? I think it adds to your character.

You're lucky living in Calafornia. There are a few good shops around here, most which take student discount

That is such total BS. just because it's says Gucci or Nike on there doesn't mean it's any better than your local brand. Besides, you so totally lost any quality-price relation when you give that argument. I get cheap stuff, it never fell of me, my shoes haven't ever fallen off... so not much breaking down there. I bet most of your friends buy the same stuff, with the same reasons too,

I've found Asda (Wal*Mart) stuff is often better quality than some of the brand named stuff, especially when it comes to children's clothes. The only pair of Nike trainers I had fell apart in a few months, but I've had cheap ones that have lasted me a year or more. The price doesn't always reflect the quality.

Well, if I can afford the better things I will get them if I want to. And yes... because it says Gucci or Chanel on it... yes it does mean it is better than a "local brand". You just don't know becuase you don't want to own anything like that. Or take the time and actually feel how much softer and higher quality of leather Chanel makes. Anwyay, I feel it is BS for you to try to tell me higher quality items are the same as cheaper ones. But I'll let it slide, being you are a guy, and guys know absolutley nothing about retail.

So you chose to ignore my price/quality relation comment, just generalised all men as being one thing. Whoa, you sound to start a little typical! I actually do own "exspensive" brands and I know them not to be any better. I just bought them because they were on sale and suited my needs. I don't find them to be any more comfortable than my "cheap" clothes
I'm not saying that brand items are the same as non-brand one's. They differ at the price tag.
Chanel doesn't make leather btw, cows do.

^lol... yeahhh duuuhhh. But the quality of it is soooooo much better. It isn't all like.. hard and kinda yuck. It is really nice and soft!
I ignored something you said? Srry... didn't mean to. Usually items that are on sale go on sale for a reason hun... key word "usually".
I take back what I said about all men... Becuse I forgot there are gay men out there that know more than 1/1, ziona, and myself combined!

I've often found that brand clothes feel better than non brand clothes which makes me feel more comfortable when I go out.

I agree it doesn't always reflect quality but from my personal experience then most of the time it does.

Thats from your experience of them. From mine, and possibly zero's, it is the other way round. I have found that paying a bit extra means a longer product life and better quality. I think in the end it all comes down to the experiences you've had with brands and non brands.
