150 bucks for one movie. How OCDish, You could buy the movie for a tenth of that and watch it all the times you'd want,

It does seem a little soon for it to be dropped from the cinema It's been out less than a month hasn't it? When Return of the King came out, our cinema kept showing it from Christmas time-ish (possibly just before) until the beginning of May!
And that does seem a lot of money to spend on a film but if you really enjoy it, what does it matter

Yeah, I know. But I had to be stupid and pick "12 more times to see it before I know if I kile it or not" It's not like I can change it all of a sudden. and if I don't see it all 13 before its out of the theaters, then I'll never know. That's uh... yeah. that's my dilemma
Mary got me the Episode III scrapbook for my birthday. It's totally cool, with all that behind the scenes knowledge. Now I know how Anakin got the scar... the real reason...

Real reason... Padme got frisky after having fake nails put on? Obi Wan is bad at slicing bread? Anakin was trying to juggle shards of glass (young man=stupid actions)? Yoda slipped and scratched him?
We spent the whole of RE today talking about Star Wars... so fun. And no one can say it was off topic with what we were doing because we were talking about wars and religion... and Star Wars has religion in it... and we talked about the clone wars and how it was confusing as to whether they were justified or not and how greater evil can happen after wars. Oh, then Ashleigh started misspelling Obi Wan Kenobi (Obe Won Kinobe) on the notes we were passing and I got angry... so she started saying Anakin lines and I said Padme lines (from the scene with "LIAR!! You're with him!") so I had to die... it got confusing after that because she switched to Kenobi and I switched to Skywalker...
Obe Won Kinobe... she said his nickname should be Ken...

Naw... George Lucas said it was because Anakin slipped when he was getting out of the bath tub. But... then in some comic, I guess it explained that he got it in some lightsaber fight...
Anyway... the lines before "LIAR!!"... the ones that they cut out, but that Ross and I figured out... those are the best. Plus they explain Obi-Wan's stance when he's on top of the ramp... "Papa Obi-Wan says no... Paoa Obi-Wan wants to..." well... thewhole thing is deliciously inapproprite, to say the least.

More Episode 3 quotes! (Well, one a least.)
Grievous: I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Lord Tyranus himself!
Kenobi: You mean Count Dooku? What a coincidence. I trained the man who killed him.

^Wow, I love that!
It's too bad that Lucas couldn't have put more dialogue like that in the movie.

He takes baths? I though he'd be more of a shower guy, what with having to wash all that hair at the same time. The steam from baths makes hair look weird...

Indeed. Star Wars needs more wit, puns and wordplay... more, sort of, English style humour, I suppose (people have told me that wordplay is very English humour). More intelligent dialogue. It can still be fun and funny for kids, but there should also be jokes that slightly older people will understand and laugh at.

I think it was cut from the film but it's in the book (and apologies if this has already been posted):
I don't know the exact phrasing but when Anakin is killing the Seperatist leaders, one of said leaders says "We were promised a handsome reward!" to which Anakin replies: "I'm your reward - do you not find me handsome?".
Another (in the same scene) is with Nute Gunray - "Lord Sidious promised us we'd be left in peace!". Anakin then replies, "The transmission was garbled. He said you'd be left in pieces".
Or words to that effect. I wish those lines had been left in; really dark humour...

^No, that's right. And someone else already posted those quotes in this topic...
Separatist Leader: We were promised a handsome reward.
Vader: I'm your reward. Don't you think I'm handsome?

More wit. More puns. We're nerds and are therefore likely to possess higher intelligence than the rest of the population. Feed our brains, Mr Lucas!!!
Dark humour. Dark, dry, English humour.

Ah, apologies then - I wondered if it might have been but looking at the size this topic has grown to, I wouldn't have had time to scroll through the whole thing

Great minds think alike! I would much rather have heard those than that soppy pap between Anakin and Padm...
"Maybe love has blinded you"...
Dialogue like that has certainly left me blind - tis atrocious! Mind you I probably couldn't do any better.
P.S. I'm waiting for Republican_Man to correct my quote as he usually ends up doing

I'll do it for him
"Are you saying love has blinded you?"
Not... that it matters. I think anything but all that bs would have been good. Silly old George doesn't know the ways of romance.

I think it's actually just "So love has blinded you?" But I could be wrong. That happens a lot I hate romance anyways, bores me to death.

I've only seen it three times? Can that be my excuse? Three times is alot of times to see a film at the cinema for me. Normally I just go the once.
This, and 'Serenity' when it's released later in the year will be the only exceptions I think

It should have gone something like this:
Anakin: You more beautiful everytime I see you.
Padme: Flatterer... every day I think that there's no way I could love you even more than I already do, but somehow, I love you more each second. It doesn't matter that we're together or apart, all that matters is that...
Anakin: ...I love you?
Padme: Exactly.
Anakin: *whispering* I love you too, Kim....
Padme: what did you say?
Anakin: Um... I said I love the new cover you bought for the bin...
Padme: Who's Kim?
Anakin: I have no idea what you're talking about. *jedi mind trick* I never said anything about Kim.
Padme: You never said anything about Kim...
Anakin: You will make me a sandwich
Padme: I will make you a sandwich...
The bits in orange would only be included on the DVD. The special DVD that only I get to watch. In my mind.

No... it should have gone more like this. We all know what was on Anakin's mind.
Anakin: Well... that's not exactly what I meant.
Padme: But it's probably true.
Anakin: I've missed you Padme. I can't believe it's been five months since I last saw you... *advances suggestively*
Padme: Oh, Anakin... not tonight. I just want to near you and... cuddle.
*there is an awkward pause as Anakin gives her an angry look. He raises his hand and passes it over her eyes"
Padme: *seductively* Ok... I'll meet you in the bedroom...

The idea of pregnant sex slightly grosses me out...
Anakin: Every day I love you less and less, it seems to me that you've become obsessed...
It's a Kaiser Chiefs' song, and she was getting pretty obsessed at one point, you know, that who stream of sentences:
Padme: I wanna have the BABY back on Naboo. I'm gonna go back early and fix up the BABY's room. Blah blah blah BABY blah blah blah....
But if I was pregnant with Anakin Skywalker's child, I'd probably talk like that too.
