PostThu Jun 09, 2005 9:36 pm    Work Out Routines

So, right now I only run about 15-30 minutes a day, but i'm thining of upgrading.

My workout routine for the summer:

90 minutes a day consisting of:

10 minutes light jogging
600 crunches
strength circuit with weights
30 minutes running
450 more crunches

what do you think?

I think that is a good routine, But too many crunchies at once.

If you balanced it out a bit like do 100 at a time throughout the day, it will probably have a greater effect.

My routine(s) are 20 mins of cardio, wheather it be stairmaster, running, jogging, bike...

35-45 mins of lifting weights.. Nothing really heavy.. just enough to keep toned.

15 mins of a cool down cardio... usually that is the bike.

Or sometimes I just run, or do stairmaster. It depends on what kind of mood I'm in. I also use the big ball to do my stoumach workouts...

Ziona, if you are into getting a great stoumach... that ball does wonders!!!

^Yeah for sure!! If you wanted to decrease on fat... you should mostly focus on cardio training, but 30 m ins really wont do anything.. it would probably be better if you did jogging for about 40 mins or even the bike!!!

TIP-

quick short sprints up hills give you a great booty!!!! But do A LOT!!!

That is true...

If I ignored my ankle, it will swell up like a balloon and then I wont be able to walk for 2-3 days. So, I don't really have a choice! But anyway... I guess I should go get x-rays like my doctor tells me to.

(I don't wanna have sugery)

I don't have a workout routine. I find if I try to do any form of exercise, I'm too exhausted for the rest of the day to do anything else, and it can last for a few days. Being a mother is tiring enough.

I'm also at the lower end of normal weight, having finally put some on. I don't want to lose any.

I'm getting tests carried out to find out why I'm so tired.

The best workout routine is to walk everywhere. I try that.

Even walking exhauses me... I went down to Sammie's great grandparents today, they only live around the corner, and I was knackered coming back!

Tough to do for most people (thanks to our srewed up idea of "modern society"), but the best things are running and swimming. If we all had to swim 200 meters a day and run 2 km, there would be very few out-of-shape folks.

I do mostly running through fields and strengthening my legs, since I cross country. If you're looking to work your abs, you should do crunches on your back, like your on all fours with your legs in the air, bent at the knees. and you should squeeze your abs to pull yourself up. If you wanna work your boo-tay, you should get on all fours, and raise your left leg (like a dog at the hydrant) and do 15 of those as high as you can, then switch legs. Trust me, J.Lo wishes she had my booty.

At work I'm lifting (varies... from 100 hand-loaded Windsor landscaping bricks (20lbs each) to 20 bags of Miracle Grow soil (50 lbs each) to the wonderful "qwikrete" concrete (80lbs) (and usually and average of 10 bags ber customer that needs loading) +many other varieties), pushing... which is definatly some sort of exercise... 13 carts are a bitch to push uphill, and walking 8 hours a day. That's usually only 24 hours a week, but that's just work.

On days off, I just do whichever I feel most like doing..... swimming, biking, running, or climbing. Nothing really... set, but I'm not really a routine kind of man, I like a little diversity.

Swimming I usually put in 15 laps... you know how swimming is. I try and put every kind of strole in that I can... except butterfly. I never could master that one. Biking I try to do at least 15 miles. Running, I just go until I don't feel like it any more. Climbiong, I stay for an hour if I'm just bouldering by myself. Usually longer if it's with a friend because then I can actually climb.

So... whichever I feel like doing. But I always must have one everyday.
