The government controls too much. The government needs to control what we can own. Please, pick one.
Most guns are used for sport. Again, you want to take away everyone's rights because a few can't control themselves. Yeah, totally fair.

Pick any location in the US, and check gun-related deaths (not counting guns used by the police) compared to alcohol-related deaths for the same time period.

It doesn't mean that you can't use guns for sport if you had a certain type of ban on them. You could have gun clubs where there was guns that you can use.

And hunting? And on my own property? We have well over 100 acres here, I target shoot outside on my own property. And have you missed the fact that there are bans on certain types of weapons? I don't know them all because I've never had the need to. The weapons I own are barely semi-automatic.
And what about webtaz's statement? No one is going to address that?

I'm not one way or the other and so I'm just making arguments. I can't really see a flaw in his argument.

In England, they're thinking of banning certain kitchen knives.

They won't be able to take away ones you already have, but you might not be able to buy replacements. They say that the long thin blades make the hardest stab wounds to repair.
I don't think banning thme will do anything. If you want to kill someone, you'll do it no matter what. Pruning shears, screwdrivers, baseball bats, bare hands etc. can all kill someone

People who drink too much kill themselves and other people. They are evil idiots. I believe that people who drive drunk and kill others should be charged with man slaughter.
And people who smoke around their children are killers too.

There was that case of the little 5 year old who had the lungs of a pensioner because of passive smoking from her mum. I think people like that should be charged.

I think smokers shouldn't be treated for problems they got from smoking. They had that advert where that old hag was on oxygen because she'd smoked to much. BOO HOO! You're the one that ruined your lungs so why should you get a canister of oxygen when the rest of us have to breathe in the manky polluted normal air? That oxygen could be used to save the life of a premature baby instead of a manky person like you!
((Sorry if I offended anyone here who smokes... but I think smoking is disgusting and they should raise the tax on cigarettes even more so that more of the money goes to the government etc.))
But... this is getting off topic...
