Smarties are basically what, sugar? And we used to call them "pills", too, How freaking weird are kids,

Yup. They normally come out in winter, though my local shop still has some (probably something to do with me being the only person buying them... it happens in small villages ).

I tried to find a photo, but they're pale colours, with white chocolate in them. The tube is either yellow or white... can't remember right now. I'd go buy a pack, but the shop shut at 9

They're not smarties!! What's wrong with your country's sweets!!!? Smarties are made of chocolate...nice chocolate... yours are fizzlers!

Urrgh, ever had Parma Violets... they're like your version of smarties but they taste like the are made of ground up old women and they are purple

^aka "Pop Rocks". (Only candy we have that has "fizz" in the name)

On this continent, asking for smarties will only get you the powdery sugar things,

THEY'RE HORRIBLE!!! I SWEAR THEY ARE MADE OF DUSTY OLD DEAD PEOPLE AND CONFETTI SCRAPED FROM THE PAVEMENTS OUTSIDE CHURCHES!!!!

Okay... I'm calm, I'm calm...

I had this sweet the other day called a Toxic Waste or summat, it was so sour I spat it out within three seconds (and I loooove sour sweets) and could feel the acid corroding away my teeth for about five hours afterwards

Smarties are the best(the chocoloates i mean). we have these very samll boxes that contain a few smarties, you can just open the box and drop them all in your mouth at once . They have really soft Chocolate so they tend too melt in you mouth faster than M&M's.

The chocolate in Smarties is soft and melts in your mouth. M&Ms need chewing
