Enterprise was worth watching. However, I'm deeply disappointed in the last few episodes of the series. The series ended with a bad note.

Enterprise was the worth to watch and it gave all of us to see what it was like 200 years before picard and 100 years before kirk. It was so interesting and as Morphy said it left on a bad note and we will never find out what happens shortly after words. Also, it was sad to see Trip Die.

I must admit there were times when I really enjoyed the series and, from a week-by-week basis, it made good entertainment.
As for its contribution to Trek lore, well I have to say I was disappointed. I remember when they were first marketing the series, they promised it would be something entirely new. I can't remember the exact wording but the general gist was 'back to basics'. And now I can't help but feel a little disappointed with that - exactly what was so radically different? They still had phasers and torpedoes (a slightly different name just doesn't cut it with me), the transporter was there (and like the other series, had the episodes where something goes wrong yadda yadda - haven't we been there already countless times before though?).
Similarly, most episodes just seemed to result in a firefight. And again, it was good watching material but for me, just didn't click with the rest of the Trek 'verse.
Anyway, that's just my opinion - please don't hurt me! I'll end by just saying though, the last episode of Enterprise I saw was the one shown on Channel 4 (UK) last Sunday ('Doctor's Orders' is it? I think it was - it's the one where the crew is put into a coma while Phlox looks after them while they pass through a nebula or something) and whilst it did have an interesting twist at the end, I found myself thinking, surely this is just a slight twist of a Voyager episode (I think it's 'One' - the one where the crew is put into a coma while Seven of Nine looks after them while they pass through a nebula - hey wasn't that the same plot synopsis of the Enterprise episode?! Forgive me).
Again that's just my opinion. I enjoyed Enterprise and am sad it's gone but that's just my train of thought for its long term contribution to sci fi.

Part of it were, and parts of it were not.
On the whole, I'd say seasons 3+4 were worth it, and seasons 1+2 were...well, decent. Definitely could have been better.
It didn't help that Enterprise was completely outshown by other scifi series for nearly half of its run (even not counting SG1).
First Firefly, and later BSG 2K5, both put Enterprise completely to shame. And that's rather sad. It's a sad day when Trek is no longer the best thing going.

It's a sad day when there is no trek at all going.
I think in general Enterprise was OK, but thats about it. It was still trek and I still watched it and it kept my intrest. But it was no TNG, DS9 or VOY.

I really enjoyed watching the show. However, I did get bored with it. frequently.
And the last episodes kinda sucked.
But it was a good show!

Well worth watching. At some points I was on the edge of my seat. It's not like watching re-runs of Voyager where you now that they'll get home eventually, it was better because you had no idea who would live and who would die.
Plus, I liked their uniform lots. It was more... worky. More like something you would wear whilst doing hands on jobs. The other uniforms are too formal.

at first I wasn't keen and beleaved a new show should have gone on and not back but I became used to it and saw no reason why Enterprise shouldn't have compleated it's full run.

i liked it except for the third season. i thought the show should have been like TNG with no continuing story line and just endless different scenarios

I enjoyed every minute that Enterprise was on. I am not gonna repeat myself cause most of you know how I feel how the show was cancelled. It was a great series. I loved Captain Archer and Trip. Good story lines. Some will disagree and that's fine.

The captain was over acting a lot and "show boating"himself a lot.He was good looking in a "American Eagle!!"sort of way.The T'pau character was purely there for sex appeal content and a very shallow character. The Doc was interesting, the men were all good looking,I liked the asian translaters character very intelligent.I havent seen all the series yet,a bit boring at times, but better than no new star trek at all!!!!!!!

I agree with most of what The Delta Flyer said.
It was good and everybody gave 110% in their roles. And I do believe that if it had been renewed for a fifth season, we'd have headed down a more exciting path.
I just wish it had been a little more in the spirit of TOS because I feel it was a world away from Gene Roddenberry's ideals. It was good and produced some great episodes but it didn't set my world ablaze in the same way that TNG, DS9 and VOY did in their prime.

Ok, I personally can't believe people would not want to watch it. It's kept me on the edge of my seat like all the time. Granted, I'm a hopeless romantic and mainly watched it for the Trip/ T'Pol angle to start with, but then I got really into it.
I liked in 'Affliction' when Columbia was upside down to Enterprise and Trip was going from Columbia to Enterprise through space. That was the coolest graphic! I can't wait for 'Bound' (it hasn't aired in england yet), but im in spain next week, so I'm not going to see it for like another week and a half
I'm not sure if I wanna see the last episode, I don't think I could face Trip dying (I read spoilers ) so I'll probably stop at 'Terra Prime'.
Still, Enterprise was definately one of the best series of the Star Trek saga. Actually, I'm gonna start a topic about who prefers what series - so check that out if you want some time.
Rock on all you guys/gals/aliens/all of the above out there and live long and prosper!

Of course it was worth watching! Enterprise is an equal to the other series. Just a pity it only got 4 years.

Actually, although I absolutely loved the show, I'm glad it ended cos Trip was gonna get killed off anyway. I couldn't bear to watch it without him!
