I think your thinking of a death star.

Yes Hyperdrive is a hell of alot faster than warp. Ships in the starwars galaxy that have hyperdrive can travel from one side of the galaxy to the other in like 48 hours and one side of the galaxy to another is like 90,000Ly

Voyager has a top speed of warp 9.975 at that speed for 48 hours voyager would travel 30.4Ly

hhmmm, thats a pretty big difference.

ok, if voyager went to warp then the stardestroyer (if it did use its hyperdrive) would fly right past it, it would then have to stop, go agen, stop go agen, until the star destroyer could take it no more!

With as DEVOTED VOYAGER fan as I am, I would UNFORTUNATELY have to say the star destroyer would probably most likely win.

and a destroyer is a HECK of a lot more then 10x the size of Voyager.
My buddy is a SW EXPERT and he says the destroyer is a few miles long. Voyager is only 345 METERS long.........let's think about how many times bigger the destroyer is..................................................

I agree with you but denial runs deep on this site. The thought that VOY would lose in a fight is somehow an impossibility. Although I can't even count on both hands how many times they've lost fights in the show.

No it has Hyperdrive, which is a lot faster. How will warp help it win in a fight?

Hell no. Hyperdrive is ten times faster than Warp. Ships in SW can travel around the entire galaxy in weeks. While VOY was stuck in the Delta Quadrant for 75 years....

Back on topic...

Star Destroyer would crush VOY. Can anyone offer proof on how it could beat it?

1sec the uss voyager was stuck in delta quadrent for 7 years coming back at stardate 3546.4

*Sigh* It came back in 7 years because of various episodes where they jumped many lightyears. The last episode they traveled through a Borg Hub! If they didn't have any of that, then the normal time it would take would be 75 years.

Um...sorry but that ain't good enough for me. No offense, but he obviosuly doesn't know enough about SW. How is it possible for it to win? The ship is like 10 times as big as VOY. It has hundreds of turrets(Yes, the fire lasers, but the lasers in SW are different from ST). TIE Squadrons. Ion Cannons. Gravity wells. VOY has good stuff too, but waht does it have to win?

EXACTLY. A Star Destroyer would CRUSH it.

hmm that's kind of tough....star destroyers have six squads of TIES and as well as many troop regiments.

toughie...although i'd like to see that.

however, star destroyers are made for bombardment, so i'd have to go with Star Destoryers

I suspect a BorgCube would be comparable to a Star Destoyer but, the same, Voyager is no match because of its size. When Voyager went to battle against a Cube they eventually had to run for it because of the immensity of their firepower. The only person who could save the day was Tom. He'd manipulate Voyager just over the surface away from the stupendous weapons. Their was also another time when they transported torpedoes into a Cube. Blew it all to hell.

Actually, no, a cube wouldn't have a change with the Destroyer even. As one of my Star Wars devoted fan of a friend in High School pointed out, that a Stardestroyer was like, 60 or more kilometers long. I don't remember exactly how long he said it was, it was ALOT of kilometers...

What!?! This is ridiculous! A Star Destroyer would crush Voyager, hands down! No contest! I'm not even sure how Voyager managed to destroy a Borg Cube. ONE Cube destroyed 39 starships. How could that measly Intrepid-class destroy TWO Borg Cubes when the Enterprise couldn't? Pardon my French, but that is bull...yeah...no way! Geez...Star Destroyer all the way! As Voyager2004 said...a Star Destroyer is KILOMETERS long, plus the hundreds of TIE Fighters...

That was the super stardestroyer! i am talking about the one in the backgroup when you see admiral Ackbar co-ordinating the ttacking force!

The Executor was, in fact, a Super Star Destroyer. The Flagship of the Imperial Fleet and 10 times the size of a regular SD. Concentrated attack runs by A-Wing fighters targeting the shield domes over the command center disabled them, then by luck a damaged A-wing crashed into the ship. The Executor lost all navigational control and was pulled down by the Death Star's gravity field to her demise.

A glance in the background in many of the battle of endor scenes show a number of star destroyers exploding.

So they are not invunerable.

By luck and a close call, Voyager would win.

How the hell could VOY hope to beat a Star Destroyer?

Let me explain it to you...
Voyager can fly and manuever... stars can't do anything.

That reminds of the movie 'Enter The Dragon' with Bruce Lee, and this one guy that was gonna fight Bruce Lee, broke a board in front of Lee. Bruce Lee responded with,"Boards don't hit back."
Well, my reply to you Founder, is that stars don't hit back... Voyager does!
And, they can do it with that good 'ole Voyager crew ingenuity. That same ingenuity that defeated the Borg!

Besides that, Voyager has Capt. Proton!
