But they choose to not have safe sex. I'm not comparing america's stats with africas. all I mean is they should be brought up on it.. know a lot about it... so to speak. |
So why should they be brought up on, when it's had the opposite effect here? |
You are missing my point. geeeeze! I wish you would stop bringing up america's stupidness about having unsafe sex. So... you figure.. we just go over and hand them the pills and condoms and expect them to figure it out? No, they do need to be taught and they do need to be brought up on it so they will feel it is ok to do. I KNOW america has a horrible pregnancy rate. But let me add... Some new proposal bush had made the clinics cut back on birth control. Therefor it was only limited to young girls with their guardians approval, or they had to be 18. Most teenagers are not properly educated on sex anyway. They seem to wantt o be teaching abstonence but.. LOL like that is going to happen. Teens always want to rebelle against anyone who tries to tell themw hat to do. Maybe if they were taught how to be protected.. instead of feeling like they are going to get in trouble... It would have a greater effect.

You're missing my point though. You say they have to be taught this stuff, so that they know about it. But look at America and Western Europe. We have some of the highest teen pregnancies in the world and we get taught it. So how is it effective? It's having the opposite effect from the statistics. So they don't NEED to be taught it.

Maybe you don't understand. Kid are TOLD about birth control and everything else. It does not mean they have access to it. Do you think a parent is going to let their kid get B/C? Or do you think a girl is going to tell her mom and dad she is having sex in the 9th grade? No... I don't think so. This is why I feel Birth control should be provided for all females freshman year of high shcool. If they use it or not.. it is thier choice.

You can get it in a lot of public toilets. I don't believe it works, it's had the opposite effect in countries where it's used, but w/e.
