PostFri Apr 29, 2005 2:02 pm    The scariest moment of your life

I was terrified today. I realised halfway through the first hour of a ten hour art exam that I can't draw. It wouldn't really be a problem if I wasn't doing an A1 detail drawing of the front of Notre Dame

What moment in life really scared you?

I won't swim in the sea. Channel 5 ran all these documentries that I think were designed simply to scare people: Shark Attack, World's Most Dangerous Snakes, When Spider's Bite, Earthquake Attack, When Volcanoes Kill... you get the idea. Most of them told you not to go to australia, but I won't swim in the sea anywhere. I'm terrified of something coming to get me, a shark or a squid.

My little sister is two...we were all in the yard playing when I realized my sister wasnt in sight. I went around the house to look for her and saw her walking towards the road. I ran and caught up with her just in time to not get hit by a car. I'll never forget how I felt.

Driving home in a snowstorm after I took some friends to see Napoleon Dynamite. The roads were icy and slushy and it was almost a dead blizzard out. If you've never driven in a blizzard in roads with those conditions in the foothills of the Rockies, then you have no idea what real winter driving is like. It mostly scared the crap out of me because I didnt want to kill my friends. It took us about an hour to get back from the theater and drop everyone off (it usually take 15 minutes). I slept incredibly well that night once I made it home.

When the doctor said, "This medication will either kill your father, or save him. You have five minutes to make up your minds on whether or not to give it to him."
Right after they'd realized Dad was having a stroke.

oh gosh, i have many but i'm trying to think of some of them off the top of my head.

Some of my scariest moments have been when i've sprained my ankle, and torn a muscle in my foot just weeks before big dance performances. When the injury happens, all i know is my foot kills, and i can't walk on it, so as far as i know it could be broken and i won't get to dance in the upcoming performance!! The scariest moments are the night it happens, into the next morning at the doctor right after xrays!! Four times that has happened to me now - where i've had to go get something x-rayed b/c of a dance injury. So far - nothing broken, only spains, strains, and tears!! All the other 30 millions times i've been injured, i just suck it up and deal with it. But if i can't walk or something... that's when i go into the doctor! Sucky!

it sounds retarded, but we were in a volleyball tournament, and I was watching the girl serve. I was currently middle hitter. And I looked at the girl behind me, and I saw this sheer look of terror in her eyes, and I knew thats who morgan (the girl serving) was going to hit. Once she hit the ball I could literally feel my heart stop, because I knew in that moment that everything myself and my team had worked for was gone.

Scariest moment of my life was on an airplane coming back from Germany. The plane has fuel leaking on the wing and the Captain came and looked out the window where I was sitting. I asked what was wrong and he said there was fuel leaking on the wing, we may have to stop in England to repair. But luckily we didn't have to stop. And lucky we didn't crash.

Easy, September 5th 2000 my mom had a car accident. I first got to the scene with my dad and I saw my mom spread out on the road. Her van was all banged up and my mom was a bloody mess. I really thought that I would loose her then and I was completely scared at the moment. I am glad that she only broke her back and managed to get out of the situation with her life in tact.

I was...hmm...9? 10 maybe?

Hit my chest on a metal pole, and I lost my breath for a while. Not being able to breathe is a scary feeling.

When I was 6 the house behind us burned down in the middle of the night. My mom waked me, and as she opened my curtains I saw the glow of the fire, I was shocked as hell. I got down in 1 sec (and our stairs has 13 steps, so that's fast... ) And we went to a hotel that was nearby. I was so freaked out.
We were very lucky, the wind was in the direction of our house, but the fire didn't spread to our house (luckily..) Thanks to the fire department for that...
For days after that I thought the glow that came from outside was fire, when it was just the lamppost.. ]
I'm over it now though.

When I was about 6, we were in the Lake District hiking and on the way back, my mum fell asleep at the wheel, drove headlong into a wall and turned the entire car upside down. I was terrified.

When i was 7, i had this friend and she was a really bad girl and i didn't know that until we went to the store and she said she was gonna buy candy. So we went into the store and she took some candy and put it under her shirt. I asked her if she was gonna pay for it and she said no of course not and than i got really scared cause i didn't want to get in trouble. So i told the lady that worked at the store on my friend. While she was in the security, they told me to go home. After that my friend never talked to me again.

So, it was scary cause I never been around anyone that stole anything and i was worrying more about what was gonna happen to me if i didn't tell on my friend.

On Friday morning. I had my operation on Thursday to remove my gallbladder. I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe, couldn't speak, and the buzzer for the nurse was just out of my reach. I was very dizzy through not breathing properly, and I had to go for an xray to make sure my chest was ok. My doctor came round later that day and changed my pankillers, which help a lot, but the nurses insisted I got out of bed even though moving meant I couldn't breath for a couple of minutes. It was awful, I'd never been in so much pain in my life (even the gallstone attacks were tame compared to that), and really thought I was going to die. I was ok once they gave me morphine though. It didn't help the breathing tube they gave me during the operation has caused tonsilitis, so it felt like I was choking on my tonsils.

I was laying in a hospital bed alone with no family around, and bleeding, wondering if I'd lose my baby or not.

Once, i was smoking weed and I passed out and knocked a candle over and my room started on fire. I was lucky to have a gallon jug of water.
