I was looking thru the STV.com Salutes, and it lookes like a lot of people on this forum wear glasses. Who all here wears glasses, contacts, nothing...etc?

I got glasses in 7th grade, and only used them to see the whiteboard at school from the back for the room, other than that i didn't wear them. I have contacts now, but rarely wear either now. Only when i'm going to like a performance where I want to see the people on stage, or if i feel like wearing them, i will!

I wear glasses. I will never wear contacts regularly because I know someone who did, got an infection and had to have a cornea transplant off a dead guy. charming.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. You know I'm just jealous of your good eyesight.

I wear glasses because I'm near-sighted; I wear them constantly because I need them to watch TV and work at the computer as well (as these activities strain my eyes.

Heh, reminds me of one of the captions below the opening title sequence for Futurama:

Glasses, but I'll be getting contacts soon.

Funny thing. At first I hated the prospect of wearing contacts, but then I figured out how much of a pain glasses really are. They're nice if you don't do many sports, but since I do baseball and basketball sometimes, the glasses get annoying. Also, it does get old having your vision fog over every time you come out of the cold into a warm room.

Sports is one of the main reasons I got rid of my glasses. And when you get sweaty, they slide, that drove me up a wall.
Not to mention I love sunglasses,

You should have both as a choice. I wear both glasses and contacts.

little red goes into her grannies.

Hello little red said the fox in desguse as her granny.

hey 4 eyes hows things.

Grany comes back with ah yes 4 eyes all the better to see you with.

(sorry couldnt resist.

anyways yer people say I used to look stupid in them but to me I dont care they arnt there to make you look better just to make you see.

I not long got glasses,

and I was looking at all the differant kinds.

and what I noticed is how expensive they are just cas they have some little word that nobody would see from a yard away or they are made by some person who I dont even know about.

I think its daft that a single pair of glasses can easly cost over 100 not to mention then your lenses.

shesh what do they think us glass/contact weares are millionares

Yeah. Thats what I was referring to in the annoyance of playing sports.

Also, I haven't worn sunglasses in years. I want to wear them again with normal vision. Yeah, I know you can get clip ons or perscription sunglasses, but the problem is the $$$. Also the nuisance of perscription sunglasses, switching from normal to sunglasses. Yes, I know it only takes a few seconds, but it's just a hassle. You loose space.

I got glasses my freshman year but like Alfie, I only wear them to see the board. I really don't like them.. plus they're the wrong perscription now. Like... everything is blurred one way without them on, but it's just blurred the other way with them on. So. Dumb.

I got glasses and prefer them over contacts anyday. I am so blind, I can't see to put the contacts in. And most of the time, I end up loosing a contact. So glasses is for me.
