Neither Trek nor Wars is anywhere near the franchise it used to be, IMO.
All it will take is one SF series grabbing mainstream attention, and Trek may well be supplanted. If it wasn't already going downhill quality-wise, I'd say SG1 would have already done so.
If Firefly had come along a few years later than it did, I suspect it might have filled the void left by the end of ENT. It was certainly good enough to do so.

My mum used to make us watch the stars wars trinity cos she got fed up with watching disney movies. It was kinda cool. When I was younger I wanted to grow up and be R2 D2 and live with ewoks...
Now I want to marry Anakin... for a while it was Han Solo.
My mate Loffy made a great flash movie, you can catch it @ [urlwww.anewhobby.tk[/url] but apparently it's not working cos the tk system is down. They got hit be a hurricane or summat

Success!! Hey Rm, I made a new breqakthrough in my lightsaber building today. My LS handels are now 100% more realistic looking. It's totally awesome. PLus now, I have the blade to handel ratio worked out so fighting comes much smoother. NOw all I have to work on is actual light for blades... ha...haha...

um... no. but really. for real this time. once I find a digital camera, I'll post pics of all my old ones... very cool... and then an evolution of my blue blades... which are always my private sabers. I have the "right after episode 1", "right before Epidoe 2" and now "right before episode 3". very cool.

Woah... I just realized I can make my new handel in like... 9 different styles. sweet... and Ross thought he was cool with 2. Psh.
OK, since I'm annoying you with it... here are some build-your-own lightsaber tips
1. Home Depot and a great conceptual imagination can go a long way
2. Electrical tape is always your best friend, in any project. Sure Duct Tape is "like the Force" (light side, dark side and holds the galaxy together) but electrical tape is really the thing that makes the world go round.
