Gas Prices, whats everyone paying?

Just currious for those of you who can drive how much are you paying for gas I just filled up one of my cars and it cost just over 21 dollars, it was $2.33 a gallon thats good considering I haven't had to fill her up since the begining of january. So what is everyone paying per gallon where you live? And not sure how many of you were old enough to drive back in 1999 but who here remembers when you could get a gallon of gas for .99 cents? I remember those good ole days.

man, I thought it was bad here I feel sorry for you. When I was in school just after it went over 1.00 I remember that the country was going to try and do a National Gas out day where people wouldn't buy gas for one day to try and get the point across that they wouldn't pay a dollar for it, when I think back on it now I would rather pay one dollar for a gallon of gas compared to $2.33.

Right now about $2.25/gallon. It had dropped to almost under $2.00, but then went right back up.

Its worst in Malibu California its about $3.10 a gallon or so.

Depends on how much ethanol I want in my tank to gas up at Jewel its like $2.47/gallon. To gas up at shell its $2.50ish/gallon

$2.85 (Yesterday). I have a sneaking feeling it went up again today.

I filled up at $2.19 a gallon yesterday. That was cheap for here. Right across the street was $2.31.

If gas cost MORE then people wouldn't drive SUVs and polute our beautiful planet!!!!
The prices you pay are pennies compared to the prices here in england. Most of the funding for healthcare etc comes from petrol tax!

Up with gas prices...um, so, like, you want it to be so that no one can get to work? There are people in my area who have had to quit their jobs or move just because gas prices are so bad...I dislike pollution, but that's unfair.

okay, keep gas prices the same for abulances, fire trucks, the police and public transport and provide more buses to popular places such as work and school etc.

Is that alright?

I catch the bus to school and walk home. It's about a 4k walk. Some people I know have schools less than 1k (that's like 1000 steps) away and they drive around in their big fat cars and then wonder why the traffic's so bad. If pedestrian walkways, cycling services and public transport were better, cars wouldn't be needed so much.

Gas prices right now are WAY down!! The pumps around here are at $2.05. I need to fill up!

THe highest price it has gotten up to with all the prices going up is about $2.30 - which when i look at what the rest of you are paying, isn't bad at all!!

The average seems to be about $2.15 now-a-days with the price increases.

My family is guilty of the SUV thing - we've got a Tahoe - i'm guilty of loving to drive it too!! Haha. Anyways, we need a big vehicle for quite a few reasons.
~ We travel to madison, and up north a few times a year, and there's my parents, me and my brother, 2 dogs, and all our luggage (a car doesn't fit it all)
~my dad does a lot of camping year round, and we also need it to hitch the boat up to when we go fishing.
~ my dad also does a lot of misc. building projects and needs the vehicle size to transport stuff around.

I don't mind people owning SUVs for good reasons (eg. they're a farmer or a kayaker or a dog trainer or something like that), it just annoys me that here in Slough (which I've been told has the largest industrial estate in Europe) there are people who don't even have more than two people in their family driving around in big silver land rovers for no good reason. It upsets me because I don't feel safe walking anywhere when these rhino sized monsters come swerving round the corner! I keep having nightmares when we're walking home from school and Loffy gets hit by one and dies. Plus, there's your something like 35% more likely to die if you get hit by one, because of the shape of the front

Bah... I'm trying to figure out the average for this area, but I've jsut discovered not only do I have to convert litres to gallons, but that US gallons and UK gallons are different!

It's about 80p/$1.50 a litre.. that's:

�3.03/$5.68 a US gallon

or

�3.64/$6.82 a UK gallon

Expensive, eh?

As someone who can't afford insurance- I'm glad we have the NHS. Petrol prices aren't the only taxes that pay for it though. Anyway, in three years time you'll think anything under $10 is cheap, if the current predictions are correct.

about 10-11 kr/litre... 7sek is about one US dollar and 9sek is about 1 euro.
Heh... I don't really have the energy to calculate all that...
