What the? Thats a little much don't you think? Thats more like the future of ENT. Star Trek can never die, because of one bad show.

No, it can die because of Berman, though. There is aboslutely no reason for Trek to be as pathetic as it is right now, IMO. Get Meyer to write another screenplay, and we're golden.

first there needs to at least be a rest (1-5 years) so that fans have a break and everyone can have a breath, new writers & producers cause lets face it berman is fried to say the least of course new ideas and the show makers need to have some way fans could tell what they would like..... I think late 24th would be neat but the others things I mentiond I think would really help the show

Dead? Aren't there any billionaires that can't stand the thought of no more Trek for the next few years or longer? What about Steven Spielberg?

Star Trek is not dead. It is taking a breather and being revamped. The 11th startrek film is going to be different and hopefully if everything goes well it will bring in more fans and maybe even serve as a pilot episode for a new series. Star Trek is far from dead just...tired.

Exactly. There's just been a massive input from producers; a lot of series were produced the last 10 years. They have to think of something new now, and inspiration doesn't let itself to be forced But I'm sure ST is far from dead!!

They should do Voyager, more into the future, and Niomi Wildman is the captain! She needs to be, bossy boots. And Janeway could appear from time to time as a mad old lady

Star Trek isnt going to die because of one bad series.

They will make a comeback with something good, there is to much of the future for star trek to just give it up.We have to know about how the timeships were put into existance and many other things.

Its just a matter of time.

Making enterprise should have been done with TOS and it would have been great, but like star wars movies, they never start at the beginning which makes it harder to be precise.

Yeah, i agree the writers on enterpise in general didnt put enough anything into the series, there wasnt no effort. But for any writer that tries hard enough, it would still be hard to fill every slot of the time period enterprise would have been expected to cover.Especially when it should have been done before or during the TOS series being aired in the 60's and 70's, the graphics and detail of the old series would have been perfect for enterprise and standed out more.

But as i said before, star trek will continue on, just right now, it needs a breather to make another comeback..and it will!!

To many fans of star trek that support the idea of making more series and movies. And if it brings in money or ratings, you can bet that star trek will always be around.

I've got to agree there. We had a really decent cast for Enterprise, and with the exception of that whole prequel thing (which I think could have worked, if done right), there's no reason why Enterprise shouldn't have lasted. It's rather depressing.

Bring on a new crew; ship; don't throw a weird twist into it; and for God's sake, make it post-nemesis!!!

NO TIME TRAVEL! I want one show where I never have to worry that they're getting back to their own quadrant, time zone or dimension!

Heres my thought on the future. I believe that Paramount will wait a few years before they do anything with Star Trek. They will want the fans to miss the franchise so when they make another movie or series they will be able to rake in a load of money. I say by 2010 there will be another movie, and if the movie is a hit then they will put out another series. I really hope that Star Treks flame has not went out. if it did, then there will be no saving it.

If Trek get good writers for a series, then I believe it can work.
