Well...they say the first stage is denial. 
Now why would I try and convert someone? I'd never do a thing like that...I just have lots of fun with the little subtexts that come up in scenes. It's actually quite amusing.

I will just pick what actually happened in Star Trek. You can see that she became an Admiral at starfleet in Nemsis. |
Not necesarily lonely though. For all we know she has married Chakotay and just not saying.

Err... Well, sure she becomes an admiral, but I don't believe she'd marry Chakotay. They're just very very very good friends & colleagues, nothing more... (yeah I know some of you don't think that...  )
And I think it's pretty obvious what you think, topicstarter; you want her to marry Chakotay. Too bad you didn't include some other options in your post. 
Maybe she'll be a very skilled admiral in the headquarters of starfleet, to get some rest from the 7-year journey she had.

I strongly disagree cause Janeway and Chakotay have chemistry. She should be able to marry whoever she wants. Being lonely sucks. Besides, there's no better goodlooking guy besides Chakotay.
