I somewhat agree with Seven from Liverpool. Especially when thinking about what conflicts like this are going to do to us in the rhelm of Space travel. We will never be able to leave our own system if we don't come together and stop fighting.

But because I'm an American citizen, on the other hand, I really do long for retaliation. The devestation a month ago will be VERY difficult for us to look beyond. It causes a lot of anger. Thanks though Seven. We need more people in the world like you that believe in others ways beside violence.

Which is more sound? The Taliban trains their soldiers to hate us. There is no reasoning with that. The US tried and tried to have a peaceful solution to this, but couldn't sit on their hands forever.

I have to agree with Seven of Nine; you've made some very good comments here. I for one have a very bad feeling about this week... I don't think that we're going to be thinking, doing or saying the same things. It's probably nothing...

**POSSIBLE RUMOUR** I heard on a newsgroup that two people were walking along the road and a man in front of them (of middle Eastern appearance) dropped his wallet. Being good citizens, they took his wallet back without stealing anything.
He said, "Oh! Thank you - I had no idea you Brits were like this, I thought you'd have stolen something! Oh, by the way, stay out of London on October 8th." They reported this, before you ask, and they will be following the advice.

My bad feeling is probably because of this, but I don't want to see us getting into something like this, then new evidence coming up, and the UK and USA look like fools.

i dont think were being to hasty, its about time we took action against these bums and got rid of the bad peopel over there, i dont care if we kill the bad ones out of them, but we are doing the best not to harm citiznes, but if some had to die, that is the way it has to be. i dont think there will be a nuclear war, since afganistan has no nucler weapons, and all of there current guns and tanks and missles are fomr the very early 1980's and ares re state of the art. now, biological war fare is more highly possible, and i hope none of it happenes. i jsut heard another person contracted the anthrax virus in florida again. where the first person contraced it. they were co-workers.

Well AFAIK London is safe so I was worried for nothing. But I still don't like the bombings... we don't know what we're getting into by shelling Afghanistan.
