Ok, Im So confused. Ive been watching some ep's of DS9 but i missed the one where Kira actually gets pregnant. So how is the baby cheif O'briens? Hes married! And Why does Kira live with O'brien and his wife and daughter! On Another ep they said the baby was like a High ranking Cardassians baby, and then Bashir and Kira were talking and they said somthing about Bashir infusing DNA into kira and thats what made her pregnant. Im so confused please HELP!!!

The reason to Kira's pregnancy is that she was on the same shuttle as Keiko (Mile's wife) who was carrying the baby. Their was an accident and Keiko was in pretty bad shape. To save the baby, Julian transported him from Keiko to Kira. The only other woman onboard.

For some real life tie-in . . . the writers had just made Keiko pregnant on the show when it was found out that Nana Visitor (who plays Kira) was pregnant in real life. Now, they didn't want two pregnant women on the show at the same time, so someone (I forget whom in particular) came up with the idea of beaming Keiko's baby into Kira, thus solving that problem.

Crazy, crazy writers.

"corny"? Oh c'mon! That was actually a really smart and cool way to introduce her pregnancy in real life. They never did anything like that in a ST show before. It didn't even really affect that much, except chare. development.....

Well, it was just silly. I mean, on the X-Files they covered it up with Anderson sitting down more often, only doing face angles, etc. It was just corny IMO to cover up a real life preganancy, by having a baby transplated into you,
