This is gonna get moved to Sci-Fi Fantasy!
Anyways, the old one was BADASS. The new one, very lame. Too many random distractions, needless and pointless suspense, and overall patheticness.

You started the topic, and you never argued it. You got all pissy and signed out.

Well, now that we're all in agreement,
Moved: SciFi, Fantasy, and Drama

I really love the return of the Babylon Five camera and acting styles. If B5 had better special effects, it would have received the same kind of praise that Battlestar Galactica is receiving now. Battlestar Galactica is probably better that Deep Space Nine and Babylon Five together.

The new BSG rocks.
The old one was fun in a campy sort of way, but the new show truly is something different----something we haven't seen before.
I think they go a bit overboard on the shakycam, though. It worked great on Firefly, but they do a bit too much of it on BSG.

I just found out that there are, in fact, four Battlestar Galactica Series, the original Battlestar Galactica in 1978, then there was the first spinoff in 1980 called Battlestar 1980, after that there was an attempt in the 90s called Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming, and now the Sci-Fi Original Series Battlestar Galactica.

Not to mention the movie. I think there was, at least.

The movie was a re-edit of the three-part pilot of Galactica 1978.
G78 itself, was a rather cheesy, but otherwise decent show.
Galactica 1980 SUCKED. Big time.
BSG: The Second Coming was never actually official. It was a concept trailer created by Richard Hatch (the original Apollo).
And of course, the new series rocks.

I just pre-ordered me DVD boxset on Amazon of the first season. Looking forward to it arriving - have only seen the mini-series but from what I've heard the series itself is just as good.
As long as it doesn't degenerate into a dogfight at the end of every episode (aka Enterprise - sorry folks; just my opinion) I'll be happy. Action is good as long as they don't over-do it lol.

Yeah, that blonde lady is the chip in his head. The cylons do feel love, at least the human ones. So, since she's a chip in his head, she can't really be trying to kill them. Just the creator.

I've ordered my Season 1 boxset from Play.com - it should be here by Wednesday hopefully though with it being Easter it might get delayed. In which case I shall get in a bad mood all day lol.
Watched the first episode at www.scifi.com/battlestar and was hooked. Shame it's such a small resolution but I'm really looking foward to the boxset.
After remaining spoiler-free all this time, I accidentally read a review of the last episode (for some reason I thought I had clicked to a review of the mini-series) - wish I hadn't read it though lol - would have been much better seeing it on screen...
Those who've seen it will know what I mean...

Boxset arrived today.
Best sci-fi I've seen in ages - Firefly might still be my favourite but it's very close in second-place...
Am hooked on it - can recommend it to anyone who is willing to follow it long-term. I think you can only really get the benefit if you keep up with what's going on. Having said that, they have a minute or so of recap from the previous episode.
