Hot Cross Buns! Hot Cross Buns!
One a penny,
Two a penny,
Hot Cross Buns!
If you have no daughters,
Pray give them to your sons!
One a penny,
Two a penny,
Hot Cross Buns!

Do you like Hot Cross Buns? Will you be eating them today (Good Friday)?

Do you like the song?

They are traditionally eaten on Good Friday, to signify Jesus dying on the cross. They're yummy

They're quite sweet, because of the fruit in them. You normally toast them, eat them hot (yup, that's what the name says ) with butter. I'm going to toast my last two in a minute (I had a pack of six to myself cos Johny doesn't like them, and I've eaten four just by themselves... Sammie's had a bit of one ).

Meh, they're okay. Don't think they're really an Easter tradition over here, though.

All I know about Hot Cross Buns is that it's always one of the very first songs in a music book when you're learning a new instrument. And if I think about it, I can still remember how it sounded when the sixth grade band was playing it for the first time. Ha!
