When they said they relaunched the Star Trek: Voyager series with Spirit Walk book one and two, did they mean there will be some more Voyager books in the future? I hope so.

Yeha, there will be. I don't know that I'm too awfully excited about them, considering the calibur of the last two, but Spirit Walk 2 does a little foreshadowing/cliffhanging to another book.

I don't know if I'll read Spirit Walk... there are a lot of books higher on my list of priorities at the moment and it's not the sort of storyline I go for.
I probably will though, since I'll read any Trek book that comes along

The VOY-Relaunch started with Homecoming and The Farther Shore. Those were....so-so.
I've read Spirit Walk book 1, and while it was readable, it wasn't really a page-turner. It may be some time before I pick up book 2.

Have to say that I've pretty much abandoned reading Trek novels as of late. Compared to other books, they lack any depth or...punch, for lack of a better word. There's no impact - just words on pages forming a story. I never found myself gagging to read on in any of the recent Trek books.
But then again, that's just my opinion.

Exactly. The books aren't 'bad' per se. But they aren't any good either. You just read them and kind of zone out. Then 10 minutes later you don't even remember what happend. Just BLAH.

I agree but I will read them anyway I liked homecoming/farther shore but spirit walk was so-so I wish the future books would focus on Kathryn and everyone not just chackoyay more

I loved the homecoming books but not so keen on spirit walk.
from what I understood it was the relaunch however the only voyager novels out this year are set during the series (according to psiphi)
The same with DS9

lol, sry, but what store are you going to. At NJ Barnes and Novles and Borders, they have giant shelves full of them.

I live in Australia and as far as I know we dont have that particular store around where I live  BUT I did see one at the newsagents today! But didn't have any money on me to buy it

I hear that the String Theory books are really good. They're based sometime during the 4th and 5th seasons of the show. I have the first 2 books, and the 3rd one just came out but I have yet to read any of them or even get the 3rd book. I'll probably start reading them soon. I thought that Homecoming and The Farther Shore were both really good. Homecoming ended with such a cliff hanger I remember. I thought that Spirit Walk was okay, that also had a cliff hanger in both books, but I didn't like it as much as I did the other two. Probably because Janeway wasn't the central character as much anymore. I just hated the fact that the author had her behind a desk! That's what turned me off I think.

I liked the String Theories a lot. They're tough to get you're head around. Look out for the return of- now that would be a spoiler, wouldn't it?
