Tell me, who here wants to continue to post in WN? Seems to me most of you don't. I want you ALL to read the forum rules, and then the rules of WN. Then I want you ALL to post here that you have done so.

I have purposely relaxed the rules in WN, something that some of you are taking advantage of. If you'd like WN to be as strict as the rest of the board, just keep it up.

You know that you are allowed to argue your point, and passionately, as many topics are incredibly emotionally provoking. But you WILL NOT continue to disrespect each other.

The enjoyment out of intellectual discussion and debate is sort of ruined when it degenerates into a shouting match between two or more sides, eh. I find myself taking larger and larger intervals between posting in this forum because there isn't really anything to say, all the 'new posts' are just the same old topic being debated.

Which is why I particularly like the last two posts in the Local Rules topic. Sometimes an active topic is nice and all, but if we all end up discussing the same thing over and over, page after page . . . it's not really fun any more. It just gets repetitive and disrespectful.

When it's not like that, I enjoy the WN because we can debate about current events, with a lot of great people. And I hope it can stay that way for a long time.

I have read both the global and WN rules. I apologize for any innapropriate behavior, disrespect, etc. that I have carried out since I returned to WN. Thank you for this, Theresa. It sure will help us keep things in check

52 views and 7 replies? Does that mean that some of you don't understand what I meant, or don't understand the word "ALL"? Even if you aren't one of the ones causing problems right now, I sincerely, and clearly meant ALL posting in WN. It may help you when someone else does cause problems,

I think part of this stems from me. Sorry about all that. But its hard to respond civily with some of the inappropriate things people say. But I will try to control it in the future. Im sure I got away with a lot. Sorry about that.

Something to consider when you're getting worked up over something is to go and do something else for 10min or so that you can calm down. Then you're more likely not to attack people and also make a stronger argument.

It now takes me at least 10 minutes to make a post in WN, simply because I'm checking it to make sure I'm not breaking any rules (and my concentration is that bad I have to keep coming back to it).

I hope things can calm down a little, now

Thank you to all who have replied, and have actually kept to the rules.

Here's a rule update for WN. If you make it clear that you are incapable of posting in here, I will prohibit you from doing so. If you post anyway, I'll ban you.

There has been way too much crap being allowed in WN, and it has degraded badly. It's going to stop.

And again, there are some of you I'm very impressed with, taking your arguments to a more mature level. Too bad you've been the exception.
