Alright, what do you guys think about them? Who won, the jokes, etc?
I am PO'd at Chris Rock right now! You do NOT take an opportunity such as that to BASH the President! One joke, fine. Two jokes, maybe. But continuously bash! This man is HORRENDOUS! I like Rock even less! You do NOT take such a time to bash the President! This is madness--and he wasn't even at all funny!

Yes. And incredibly horribly, too. And who yucked it up? Almost all the audience. It's ridiculous that these people think that they are so high and mighty that they can do or say anything.

All actors do it. They do it for the greed of money. So pretty much I just ignore what the actors or comedians say, cause they just acting immature.

RM, you need to stop getting pissed at everything. Just because someone cracks a joke about the president, doesnt mean you need to get all up in arms. It happens. Deal with it.

Haha... yeah. Plus, they are high and mighty and can do anything they want. That's the way of things. If you feel like changing it, go be a Hollywood star and complain to them.

On to the real talk about the Oscars... I think The Aviator won too many. It was pretty good, but not that good. And Finding Neverland was cheated.

I've always HATED Chris Rock, and he just pissed me off even more last night.

They did have the Next Generation theme going though,

Have to see Million Dollar Baby, apparently. I Heart Huckabees deserved something,

lmao. Nice

I didn't see the Oscars. I was at work! I wanted to see Chris Rock! He's funny, and makes me laugh. But LOTR wasn't in it, so I didn't have as much interest in it as the last 3 years.

I think The Downfall should have won for best foreign film. It was an amazing movie. Its in all german with english subtitles. Its about the last hours of Hitlers life, hence why I like it so much.

Wow, if Aaron thought it was bad....

Didn't watch. Chris Rock can be amusing, but knowing what type of humor he is prone to, it wasn't illogical that this would be the jokes he told.

Well... I live in Holland so I'd have to get up at night to watch them.
Didn't do that.
I saw a little piece om MTV, I saw.. Cate Blanchett taking her Oscar, I saw the guy who played Ray Charles (sorry forgot his name) and I saw a Spanish director. That's all. No bashing the president.

Cate Blanchett was awesome in The Aviator. I actually want to see Tea at 5 with Kate Mulgrew now to see if she does the same justice to Kate Hepburn.

I didn't see it last night I was busy with things. But when he went after clinton acouple years ago I didn't see anyone jump to his (Meaning clinton) defense. I personaly like Rock because he adds a tone of realisim to his comedy no one is protected at all.

((If anyone's wondering why I have an oskars avatar then it's because I like the look of them, ))

I saw Million Dollar Baby last night and I don't really think it deserved the award for best picture. Best actress, best supporting actor, yes; best picture and director, no. But... whatever. I still think Finding Neverland got screwed.

But they appearantly did translate the original title, Der Untergang. And you're right, it should've won.
